Seeing the crowd growing. Lenora was afraid that Cassidy might end up being trolled on the internet tomorrow, so she reached out and pulled Cassidy. “It’s boring. Let’s go.”
Cassidy sneered at Katelyn and followed Lenora out of the exhibition hall.
Carla had been slapped in the face for the second time tonight, and she was really furious “Cassidy, do you know how manipulative and money–grubbing the woman beside you is? The whole city knows about her marrying my brother for money!”
Cassidy almost exploded at those words. But Lenora glanced at her, signaling her to stay quiet.
“Stand here and wait for me.” Lenora said before turning back to Carla. “I have a question for you, Ms. Brandt.”
Carla looked at Lenora with disdain. “What a clumsy attempt to change the subject.”
Lenora raised an eyebrow, asking. “How’s your relationship with your brother?”

Carla was momentarily stunned. Lenora didn’t wait for her answer, adding calmly, “If you get along well with him, you wouldn’t be unaware that I didn’t take a single cent when I divorced him”
She stared at Carla, her smile fading as her sexy eyes carried a hint of coldness. Her words, though soft, reached everyone around clearly.
With that, she turned to leave.
Everyone knew that although Carla and Harley shared the same parents. Gwen had divorced Harley’s father when Harley was three, taking a sum of money from the Brandt family. Later she engaged in an extramarital affair with Harley’s father, giving birth to Carla and Hugh.
Thus, Harley and Carla had little to no sibling bond.
Lenora’s light–hearted remarks not only vindicated herself but also mocked Carla
Finishing, she left swiftly. It was nothing less than stunning.
“You re amazing, Noral” Cassidy, watching Lenora approach, discreetly gave her a thumbs–up while no one was noticing.
She then led Lenora to the open–air area, which was nearly deserted, and showered Lenora with more compliments.
Just as she was about to say something, Linda called. Cassidy immediately deflated. “Linda is looking for me; the brand’s big boss is here. I gotta work. If you find it boring, you can go home
In any case, her goal of bringing Lenora today to make a scene had been achieved, and she naturally didn’t want the beauty to continue staying here alone.
The brand’s sponsors were not to be offended, and although Cassidy was a bit capricious, she understood this clearly.
With a wave of her hand, she gathered her dress and walked back into the party.

Inside the floor–to–ceiling windows, the lights were bright red. Lenora sat on a sun lounger, lost in thought, gazing at the shimmering surface of the pool in front of her.
“Ms. Maynard Katelyn, who had come out without her noticing caught Lenora’s attention.
She looked up at Katelyn, standing up from the lounger. “What can I do for you, Miss Sheppard?”
“Ms. Maynard, you’re something. When I sent those photos to you, I thought you didn’t mind, but I didn’t expect you to have such a big move up your sleeve.”
“So, Miss Sheppard, are you here to reprimand me? Lenora raised an eyebrow.
“Of course not”
Seeing Lenora before her, Katelyn recalled what Harley’s secretary said that day, and her smile gradually faded.
“Oh, if there’s nothing else, I’ll be off,” Lenora said, giving her a teasing smile, then turned and walked back into the hall.

Lenora glanced at her wrist, which was being held by Katelyn, and frowned. Her voice was cool. “Anything else?”
“How about we make a bet, Lenora?“
“What are we betting on“”
Let’s bet on whether Harley will save you or me if we both fall into the water.”
Lenora followed Katelyn’s gaze and realized that Harley was watching them by the floor–to–ceiling window.
