Chapter 20
Watching Lenora getting closer. Harley felt an unusual sensation. He had expected her to do something, but she merely stopped a short distance from his face.
Lenora remained silent, simply staring at him.
When someone passed by, Harley took a step back with a frown “You can’t seduce me. I’ve never been interested in you.”
Lenora also stepped back, looked at him, and smirked. “I was right. You’re in the wildest dream. Do you know what I was doing just now?”
Realizing the impending unpleasantness, Harley still asked, curiosity taking over him, “Enlighten me”
“I was checking if there was ‘shameless‘ written on your face, or how could you behave so disgustingly today
With that, she let out a sneer. “Harley, get one thing straight: I liked you three years ago doesn’t mean I like you now. The marriage three years ago was what I wanted, and the divorce now was also what I wanted. You must know my feelings for you ended the moment I said ‘divorce.
“I’ve said it before. We’re strangers after the divorce and can totally ignore each other. I believe I’ve always handled it well. But you, with your narcissistic and baseless accusations, make me question whether you’ve suddenly realized that you do have some feelings for me.”
Harley’s expression stiffened upon hearing her, and he was abour to say something when Lenora turned around and walked back into Santana Delights.
He turned to watch her leave, his face growing increasingly dark and grim. Two seconds later, he turned and left as well.
As soon as he got into his car, he pulled out his phone to call Matthew.
Matthew picked up quickly. “Mr. Brandt?”
The cooperation with Barlow Ventures is off the table.” With that, Harley hung up directly.
Matthew looked down at his phone showing ‘Call Ended, completely clueless about how the people from Barlow Ventures had offended Harley and caused the deal to fall through after just a meal.
Lenora hurried back to the hall, her anger making her face radiant yet aloof, clearly signaling. “Keep Away”
Back in her seat, her anger had mostly subsided. She glanced at Cassidy, asking. “Are you finished?”
Feeling her inexplicable rage, Cassidy replied, “Yep.” She clapped her hands and turned slightly. “What did Harley want you to make you so mad?”
Lenora didn’t want to talk about it and just shook her head. “Nothing much.”

Cassidy didn’t press further tactfully. “Calm down. Katelyn left with a stiff face earlier. It seems like their conversation didn’t go well either
Lenora was indeed pissed off by Harley. Hearing Cassidy talk about Katelyn now, she only found it boring. “Maybe.”
She then glanced at Anthony. “Are you done too?”
“Mm–hmm.” Anthony nodded.
Having no desire to stay any longer, Lenora picked up her bag. Then I’ll drop you two off.”

Cassidy could tell she wasn’t in the best mood. After taking a sip of coffee, she gazed longingly at the unfinished delicacies. on the table, then picked up her bag and got ready to leave.
Just as the three of them stepped out of Santana Delights, they ran into Dashnell. Lenora raised an eyebrow, teasing Cassidy beside her, who was burping. “Well, looks like you don’t need me to drop you off.”
Seeing Dashnell, Cassidy immediately dashed over and hugged him, showing no trace of her usual aloof and domineering image.
Dashnell wrapped an arm around her while taking the bag from Cassidy’s hand and nodded a greeting to Lenora.
“Alright, I’m handing her over to you. Her luggage is still in my car trunk.” Lenora smiled.
Dashnell nodded before suddenly asking, “Are you available next month?”
Lenora raised an eyebrow, recalling the upcoming IPO of Future Tech. “I won’t be going. You go ahead.”
“Okay,” With over twenty years of friendship among them, Dashnell was clear whether Lenora’s words were polite or sincere. And he didn’t push further.
Having such a low–profile and hands–off major shareholder was indeed a bit of a predicament.
Dashnell took Cassidy’s luggage from Anthony while the superstar Cassidy, already seated in the car, waved enthusiastically. “Nora, take care of Anthony for me. Love you!”
With that, she blew a kiss.
Lenora gave her a glance. “Watch out for paparazzi.”
At her words, Cassidy immediately rolled up the car window and shrank back inside,
If this were photographed by paparazzi, it would cost a fortune to suppress the news.
Cassidy was picked up by Dashnell, leaving a lonely Anthony behind for Lenora.
Lenora fastened her seatbelt, asking, “Did Cassidy arrange accommodation for
“No.” Anthony shook his head.

Lenora rubbed her forehead, feeling a headache coming on. “Would you mind staying at my place for now?”
“Not at all” Beside her in the passenger seat, Anthony instinctively straightened up. His face remained composed and indifferent, but his ears subtly flushed red.
Interesting, Lenora said inwardly with a slight smile, droving away from Santana Delights.
When she returned to her villa, it was already past three in the afternoon. She arranged for Anthony to stay in the guest room and instructed him on how to use Leslie. Around four, she drove out again.
Last month, the company reviewed five startups, initially planning to invest in only one that developed online shopping users. However, Lenora personally favored a company named GlobCom Tech behind the “Devil beside Me” app
She rarely showed up at the company. Since the company evaluation was unsatisfactory, she had no plans for company investment and thus asked her secretary for the contact of Globcom Tech’s founder, intending to talk in person.
The agreed time was 4:30. Lenora arrived at 4:35.

As soon as she entered the cafe, she spotted a well–dressed man sitting by the window. The handsome than in the photos.
Lenora liked good–looking people and felt a few more points of affinity toward him.
She walked over and sat down in front of the man, who seemed a bit surprised. “Miss, I’m sorry, but I’m meeting someone here”
“If you’re Donald Buckley, then I believe I’m the person you’re meeting. Lenora smiled.
“Samantha?” Donald looked at the beautiful young woman in disbelief.
“That’s me. Did I scare you?”
Seeing her smile, Donald felt less nervous. I just didn’t expect that the legendary Samantha to be so young and beautiful.
“Tll take that as a compliment. Lenora raised an eyebrow. As she spoke, her gaze fell on the proposal in front of Donald. “Do you mind if I take a look?”
“Not at all; it’s specifically prepared for you.”
Donald had been meeting with investors who were mostly men in their forties or fifties. This was his first time meeting a woman venture capitalist as young and beautiful as Lenora. His confidence had noticeably increased compared to before.
Lenora reached out to take the proposal he handed over. “Just a moment. I’ll take a look.”
In truth, she had already reviewed the proposal. Now, she was merely checking for any changes and gauging the other party’s sincerity.
