Chapter 26
Perhaps it was because the day had started too smoothly, but when Lenora arrived at the port, she encountered two people she really didn’t want to see.
Especially on such a beautiful day like today, she really didn’t feel like seeing Katelyn and Carla.
Lenora wore a champagne–colored long dress that day, the harbor breeze making her dress flutter gracefully. Her chestnut- colored long curls were tossed by the wind, revealing a bright and stunning face.
Despite Carla’s disdain for Lenora, she had to admit that Lenora’s face was indeed flawless.
Seeing Lenora walking toward her, Carla thought Lenora was coming to beg for something. After all, not long ago, Carla had released photos of Lenora meeting with another man before her divorce from Harley.
Carla instinctively lifted her head, waiting haughtily for Lenora to plead with her. However, Lenora just walked past her without stopping, keeping a distance of two or three feet.
Carla was stunned for a moment, and then anger surged through her. “Hey!” She chased after Lenora, who did not turn her head.
Carla stamped her foot in frustration. “Lenora, are you deaf?”
Lenora finally stopped and turned around, her gaze sweeping past Katelyn and resting on Carla. “Are you calling me?”
“Is there anyone else here besides you?” Carla felt choked up, nearly suffocating herself.
Lenora raised her eyebrows. “But my name isn’t ‘hey.” She spoke lightly, giving a faint smile. “Do you need something, Ms.
Brandt?”
Carla was even more infuriated by Lenora’s response. “What are you doing here? Planning to commit suicide?”
“Suicide?” Lenora laughed at Carla’s comment. “You’re quite humorous.”

“Then what are you doing here? This is the harbor. Katelyn and I came here to go sailing. Are you planning to sail as well?” Mid–sentence, she suddenly thought of something, her face turning pale. “Could it be that Chloe also invited you to sail with
us?”
At that moment, the yacht manager approached them. “Ms. Maynard.”
Lenora didn’t want to continue the conversation with Carla; it was pointless. “Sorry, I have something to do. Have a good time sailing.”
The coldness and impatience in her eyes and tone were very clear as she said this and then walked over to the man beside her and greeted, “Hi, Mr. Wallaker.”
Christian Wallaker seemed a bit embarrassed. “Did I interrupt your chat with friends?”
“No, I don’t know them.” Lenora glanced at Carla and Katelyn by the boat.
Christian sighed in relief. “Let me show you around Starlight.”
Lenora nodded. “Sure.”
Carla heard Lenora’s words and her face turned pale. She gritted her teeth and snorted coldly. “I want to see who would invite her to sail with us.”
It was quite a coincidence that Lenora’s yacht was docked right next to Carla’s.

Chloe was Orlando’s younger sister and wasn’t exactly close friends with Carla, but they moved in the same circles. Carla knew Chloe borrowed Orlando’s yacht for sailing and called to ask if she could join.
Since Chloe was asked directly, she couldn’t say no.
There were many wealthy families in Hobart City, but everyone knew each other in the same circle.
Carla had looked for a while but didn’t recognize anyone on the yacht next to theirs, so she had to ask Chloe. “Chloe, whose yacht is that next to ours?”
Chloe shook her head. “I don’t know.”
Chloe responded and looked at the man sent by Orlando behind her. “Hey, do you know whose yacht that is?”
“I don’t know. I heard it arrived last night, and no one has claimed it yet.”
Chloe lifted her chin and looked at Carla. “What, did you see someone you know?”
“No!” Carla gritted her teeth and entered the yacht with Katelyn.
Chloe smirked, thinking that if Carla had seen someone she knew, then she wouldn’t have to follow along.
Katelyn entered the yacht and looked out the window at the yacht behind them, deep in thought.
Carla, standing to the side, was complaining about Lenora latching onto yet another wealthy man. Katelyn’s eyes lit up upon hearing this, but when she looked at Carla, she wore a suspicious expression. “Ms. Maynard doesn’t seem like that kind of person, does she?”
Carla had been talking for a while with no response, and now Katelyn had asked her a question, so naturally, she spilled everything. “Why wouldn’t she be? Don’t let her beautiful face deceive you. She never settled down during those three years in the Brandt family. I even caught her meeting several men behind my brother’s back.”
Katelyn still pretended to disbelieve. “Maybe they were just friends?”
“Come on, Katelyn. Have you ever seen a woman meet a male friend in an exclusive diamond–tier private room?”
Elegance Manor was Hobart City’s famous private club, tailored for the wealthy, ensuring absolute privacy and luxury. The rooms were divided into three levels, with the diamond–tier rooms being the most exclusive. Guests who could enter these rooms had to be VIP members of Elegance Manor, paying over a million dollars annually just in membership fees.
Despite this, many celebrities held VIP memberships and paid the annual fees because once inside, they had never been photographed by paparazzi, underscoring the level of privacy.
It wasn’t surprising that Carla would jump to conclusions; seeing Lenora in a diamond–tier private room with a man did raise suspicions.
Katelyn pursed her lips. “Did you see it with your own eyes or is this hearsay? People tend to exaggerate nowadays. Maybe Ms. Maynard was just chatting with a friend at the coffee shop, and the story changed as it got passed around.”
“Katelyn, you’re too naive. I’m not just hearing things; I have photos of her meeting other men. If you don’t believe me, I can show them to you.” And with that, she actually started looking for the photos.
Katelyn had already seen them; Carla had posted them on Twitter two hours earlier. But she still pretended to look seriously for a while before–sighing after some time. “I can’t believe Lenora would be that kind of person.”
“Humph, people online are so foolish. As soon as Lenora’s team did some PR, everyone started praising her,” said Carla,
Thinking about this, she regretted buying marketing accounts to smear Lenora, not out of fear for Lenora, but wondering if Lenora wanted to become famous since she left Harley without a penny to her name.

Lenora didn’t care what Garla with her pitiful intelligence was thinking. She felt particularly satisfied touring the yacht with
Christian.
Indeed, money made life better.
She thought about how much more enjoyable life would be in the future, sailing freely on her yacht.
Lenora loved Starlight, the yacht she had bought with a Hugh investment. She stayed on it until lunchtime before saying goodbye to Christian and leaving the port.
Just as she returned to the city area, she received a message from Cassidy. [Nora, looking for some excitement? Tonight at six, Elegance Manor, Diamond Room 168, don’t be late.]
Lenora glanced at the message while waiting for the traffic light, smiled slightly, replied with an “Okay“, and as the green light came on, pressed the gas pedal and drove f
