Chapter 29
Lenora never imagined she would have the honor of being considered a big shot by Devon and his circle. She had just arrived at the entrance of Night’s Dance with Cassidy and the others. The neon lights in front of the entrance were flashing brightly, and when their car arrived, they even momentarily dazzled her.
Aran and Emory were already inside, having reserved a large private room on the second floor, complete with a cake half as tall as a person. As soon as Lenora arrived, Linda appeared with a group of people pushing the cake out.
Most of the attendees tonight were from Ormonde Entertainment, including Anthony who had signed with them a few days
ago.
Lenora wasn’t really familiar with Aran and the others; it was only after her divorce that she had followed Cassidy’s request to trend online with them once, and despite adding each other as friends privately, there hadn’t been much conversation.
So, when Linda mentioned that Aran and his friends wanted to celebrate Lenora’s birthday, Lenora was surprised and initially intended to decline. However, after some persuasion from Cassidy, she dropped the idea.
Including Lenora, Dashnell, and Cassidy, who arrived later, there were eleven people in total in the private room, which wasn’t particularly crowded but was much livelier than the Elegance Manor they usually frequented.
Lenora had drunk quite a bit before coming and after cutting the cake, she sat aside watching them discuss recent happenings in their social circle.
Everyone knew about Dashnell and Cassidy, and since they were all celebrities, they weren’t worried about information. leaking.
It wasn’t until midnight that they finally started to leave.
Lenora was feeling sleepy; she had been sticking to a very healthy routine lately, turning off the lights and going to bed before 11 PM every day. Sitting on the sofa earlier, she couldn’t help but yawn.
While Dashnell wasn’t paying attention, Cassidy drank a few more glasses and got drunk. Dashnell then carried her over to Lenora. “Let’s go.”
Lenora stood up and smiled at him. “Cassidy’s drunk, take her home. I’ll get a taxi myself.”
Dashnell was concerned. “Taking a taxi might not be convenient. She hasn’t started causing trouble yet; let me take you home first.”
Not only was Cassidy’s alcohol tolerance poor, but her behavior also deteriorated when drunk, often becoming disruptive.
Right now, she was quietly nestled in Dashnell’s arms, but in a little while, and once the alcohol kicked in, she’d start causing
a scene.
Just as Dashnell finished speaking, Cassidy suddenly shouted loudly from his arms, “Nora, you’re amazing!” Then, breaking free from Dashnell, she lunged toward Lenora.
Lenora pushed her back and looked at Dashnell. “Better take her home quickly, or we’ll be headline news tomorrow.”
Right after Lenora spoke, Cassidy turned around and hugged Dashnell. “Dashnell, I love you so much.”
Lenora and everyone else were speechless. ‘Please, just go home and show your affection!”
Dashnell, carrying the tipsy Cassidy, glanced at Lenora again. “Call me when you get home.”

Having grown up together, Dashnell treated Lenora almost like a little sister.

Lenora gestured and opened the door of the private room personally. “Sure.”
With Cassidy causing a scene in his arms, Dashnell had no choice but to carry her out of the room.

The others also prepared to leave. Since Lenora had left her car at Elegance Manor, she truly intended to take a taxi home.
Anthony had just arrived there and naturally didn’t have a car. Fearing any potential scandalous news, Linda personally drove Anthony home.
Before leaving, Linda asked Lenora if she needed a ride, but Lenora declined.
Their company dormitory and her villa were located at opposite ends of the city, and taking her home first would add an hour to their half-hour journey.
Emory also had a bit to drink tonight, so Linda took him home as well. Aran was the only one who drove himself and didn’t drink.
After seeing Linda and the others off, Lenóra turned to Aran with a smile. “It’s late; let’s back.”
As she said this, she took out her phone intending to call for a taxi. Aran walked over. “Let me drive you home.”
Lenora raised her eyebrows. “Your place isn’t on the way to mine, no need.”
Aran looked at her and slightly nodded toward the pile of gifts on the sofa. “It’s hard to find a cab at night, besides, those gifts aren’t easy to carry, are they?”
Only then did Lenora remember she had a bag of gifts to take home. She looked at Aran for a moment. “Looks like I’ll have to trouble you then.”
“My utmost pleasure.” Aran smiled slightly, bent down to pick up the bag of gifts from the sofa, and walked to the foyer to open the door of the private room for Lenora.
Lenora looked at him and stepped out of the room with a smile.
Aran was driving his usual Maserati today, which wasn’t Lenora’s first time riding in it.
She had drunk quite a bit earlier, and as the alcohol took effect, all she wanted to do upon getting into the car was sleep.
Aran didn’t make a sound to disturb her; the car was very quiet inside. If it hadn’t been for the sudden collision, Lenora would have almost fallen asleep.
Lenora opened her eyes and saw the black Maybach in front of them. Just as she recognized it, she saw Devon running down from the passenger seat.
Devon glanced at the back of his car and gave a soft tsk. “What a scratch.”
As he spoke, Harley also got out of the driver’s seat. He immediately saw Lenora sitting inside the Maserati, which only darkened his already somber mood.
Aran hadn’t expected to rear-end someone so serendipitously-out of all people, it had to be Harley’s car.
He turned his head to look at Lenora. “Lenora, just stay in the car, okay?”
Lenora had no intention of getting out to meet Harley. Despite her seemingly nonchalant departure after that kiss hours ago, she still felt a bit emotional about it.
“Okay, handle it well; don’t make a scene,” said Lenora.
Although it was getting late and there were hardly any vehicles or pedestrians on the road, Aran was still a public figure. No

one knew if the paparazzi were hiding somewhere, waiting for Aran to create a scandal to generate publicity.
Lenora was a bit tipsy, but not as oblivious as Cassidy. She was quite sober and rational at the moment.

Aran sighed in relief, opened the car door, got out, and apologized directly. “I’m sorry; it’s my fault. How much do you think it will cost? Let’s discuss this privately.”
Harley looked at Lenora in the passenger seat. She had closed her eyes, her hand covering her forehead, making it impossible to see her face clearly.
‘She doesn’t want to see me?’ Harley remembered the brief kiss from two hours ago. His eyes hardened, cold and calculating, as he assessed the man in front of him.
He recognized this man, Aran, an actor who rose to fame last year with a fantasy drama series and became a top star. This was the same man who picked up Lenora at the city hall when she divorced him recently.
‘Oh yes, he even publicly expressed his admiration for Lenora on his social media. Suddenly, Harley found Aran extremely disagreeable. “30 thousand dollars.”
The smile on Aran’s face faded. “Sir, exaggerating like that isn’t interesting.”
Harley sneered, “Exaggerating? You can ask the person sitting in your car if I have any need to waste so much time with you over 30 thousand dollars.”
Devon/standing by, also thought Harley was asking for too much, but after hearing him say this and seeing the woman in the car, he couldn’t help but curse internally, ‘Well played, it seems his real target isn’t the money!
