Lenora only found out she was trending again after getting home, all because Future Tech had gone public in Marizieu a couple of days ago.
Dashnell had made an appearance at the launch. At just 27, he was a young, handsome, and wealthy chairman, and he’d been on the hot search list for two days straight.
Now, after she had dinner with Dashnell, someone managed to snap a picture of them, and suddenly everyone was saying she had a new boyfriend.
It had been only about 25 days since the rumors with Anthony. If the rumor weren’t about her, Lenora would have been impressed.
Raising an eyebrow, she tossed her phone aside. “Leslie, can you run the bath for me?”
Around ten, Cassidy called, bursting into laughter. “Nora, this is hilarious; People’s imaginations are wild! You two just had dinner, and now they think you’re dating. That’s too funny.”
Lenora was applying a face mask. “Can we get the trending topic taken down?”
“Why would we do that? We need the buzz. We haven’t said anything, so let them think what they want,” Cassidy huffed, adding a jab at Harley.
“Besides, Aran and Emory were trending with you recently. You’re the boss lady of Ormonde Entertainment now; it proves you’re not tied to them. I ran into Katelyn the other day; she was buying a birthday gift for your nasty ex–mother–in–law. Harley’s practically with his ‘dream girl‘ now; we can’t fall behind.”
Lenora pressed her fingers to her face, unbothered. “It’s pointless.” It had been nearly six months since her divorce from Harley. Even if he was marrying Katelyn now, it didn’t matter.
Cassidy mumbled something on the other end, “It’s free publicity; no need to take it down. Just let it be.”
Lenora thought about it for a while and thought Cassidy had a point. “Fine, let it be.”

Before hanging up, she lazily warned Cassidy, “Don’t pull any stunts on me.”
“Okay,” Cassidy said, but the next day, she stirred up trouble.
After Lenora’s dinner with Dashnell had made it to the fifth trending topic, it shot up to number one the next day.
Since her divorce from Harley, Lenora’s appearances on trending lists hadn’t been particularly flattering, but this one was a surprise.
The trending title read, “What Kind of Stunner is Lenora?” and clicking on it led to news about Dashnell.
It turned out Dashnell had a financial live interview that day. As the interview was wrapping up, the host jokingly asked about his relationship with Lenora.
Dashnell stated they were just friends.
That was a clear answer, but then the host asked what he thought of Lenora.
Although Dashnell usually maintained a cool and distant demeanor, he surprisingly smiled and said he admired Lenora, calling her the most exceptional woman he had ever met.
The live stream hadn’t even ended when screenshots began circulating on Twitter.

People compared Lenora’s situation post–divorce: from being defended by Aran, Emory, Anthony, and Cassidy, to now having a tech mogul like Dashnell speak so highly of her. It seemed the only ones doubting Lenora were those around her ex, Harley, while everyone else praised her.
Adding to this, when Lenora married Harley, she was criticized for being materialistic, yet she walked away from the marriage with nothing.
Now, after revealing she was the boss of Ormonde Entertainment and having a powerful friend like Dashnell, Lenora’s image had completely flipped.
Some even speculated that Lenora had genuinely married Harley for love.
However, these whispers were quiet and hadn’t yet gained traction online when another rumor surfaced, accusing Lenora of having multiple secret meetings with Dashnell before her divorce, hinting at infidelity.
Clearly, someone had bought trending spots to push that narrative. As soon as the post went live, it shot to the top, leading to a chaotic mix of support and backlash online.
When Lenora found out, she felt a headache coming on and called Cassidy. “Didn’t I tell you not to pull any stunts?”
Cassidy’s antics had even involved her boyfriend, and Lenora couldn’t help but chuckle at the absurdity
Hearing Lenora laugh, Cassidy’s guilt vanished. “I didn’t do much; I just wanted Dashnell to speak the truth.
“Are you saying you can’t take responsibility for your actions?” asked Lenora.
“Okay, okay. I’ll have someone suppress the trending topic.”
Lenora rubbed her temples. “Suppressing it only draws more attention. Let it simmer; just find out if Katelyn is behind this.” Last time, Katelyn stirred things up, Lenora had let it slide. This time, if Katelyn was involved again, she wouldn’t hold back.
“Got it. I’ll check it out right away.” Cassidy was energized at the mention of this drama. For some reason, she just loved watching Lenora take down the fakes.
After hanging up, Lenora drove to Future Tech.
She headed straight to Dashnell’s office. “Why are you letting her drag you into this?”
Dashnell glanced at her. “You know I can’t say no to her.”
Lenora rolled her eyes. “Enough with the drama. Let’s get to the meeting.” With that, she turned to walk toward the conference room.
Two hours later, as they exited the meeting room, Dashnell’s secretary, Wesley Stevens, approached them. “Ms. Maynard.” Then he turned to Dashnell. “Mr. Rush, Mr. Brandt has arrived.
Lenora raised an eyebrow and looked at Dashnell. “Mr. Brandt?”
Dashnell remained calm. “Your ex–husband. Telford Enterprise wants to order our newly developed smart patrol robots. Originally, it was supposed to be their design manager meeting with me, but suddenly, it’s Harley this morning.”
There was an unspoken message in Dashnell’s words, but Lenora pretended not to understand. “I’ll just sneak out the back.” “Are you afraid of him?” asked Dashnell.
Lenora laughed lightly. “Mind games don’t work on me.”
“What about on Harley?”
