Spotting Lenora in a red dress not too far away, Devon couldn’t help but blurt out, “What the hell!”
Orlando Milton, standing next to him, looked puzzled and asked “What’s got into you?”
It turns out Lenora didn’t hit up Harley for any cash, Devon explained.
Orlando chuckled. “Really? And how did she fund today’s hash? The drinks alone are costing over a million dollars. Do you really think Lenora could foot that bill on her own?”
Devon, still in disbelief, responded. “Harley just told me himself moment ago.”
Orlando paused, clearly surprised, and echoed, “What the hell?
Lenora, also having a what-the-hell moment, realized coming to a bar once in a while could still land her in the midst of Harley’s circle-close friends, not just any of them.
Cassidy noticed Lenora was a bit out of it and handed her a c****il. “Hey, what’s up with you? You’re looking kinda down Don’t tell me you’re actually regretting the divorce from Harley
Lenora just rolled her eyes. The only thing I regret is this party”
She had some money, but she was not about to waste it. Good thing she had only had to go through a divorce Otherwise, she would be so messed up. Not even a billionaire could keep up.
once.
Cassidy slid next to her, giving her a friendly bump. “Alright, spill it. What’s got you all lost in your head?”
Taking a sip of her surprisingly tasty c***l, Lenora finally said “Just take a peek at the card table around eight o’clock. You’ll see what I mean
Cassidy, curious, tried to sneak a glance, nearly spilling her drink in the process. “Seriously? What a small world!”
Lenora shrugged. Tm kinda curious about what luck’s got in store for me today.”
She was definitely in the spirit of celebrating her fresh start post-divorce. But right now, sipping her c****l in a quiet corner seemed lonely in others eyes.
Harley’s buddies were nearby, and Lenora paused, thinking she really didn’t want to end up looking silly. Downing her drink, she stood up. “Dance?”
Cassidy arched an eyebrow. “It’s been an age since we hit the floor, huh?”
Lenora chuckled. “Exactly.”
“Let’s own the night!” Cassidy was all fired up. She grabbed Lenora, and they made a beeline for the DJ
Cassidy sn****ed the mic. “Hey everyone, good evening! Quick shoutout tonight’s rounds are courtesy of this amazing person, my BFF Lenora! But wait, there’s more. We’re all here to celebrate her stepping into a new chapter, and guess what? We’re gonna put on a show you’ll never forget! Let’s get this party started!”
Initially, Lenora felt a tad embarrassed, but seeing Cassidy, the big celebs, not sweating it, she decided to just roll with it.
Cassidy whispered something to the DJ, and just like that, the stage lights shifted. The crowd that had been owning the stage suddenly stepped back, leaving just the two of them in this magical, starlit space.
Then, these cool steel pipes started descending from the ceiling and Lenora couldn’t help but feel a rush of emeent under the vibrant lights.

Chapter 6
E
Ever since she married Harley, she had been trying too hard to play it cool and gentle, totally forgetting she was never meant to fit that mold.
She didn’t need anyone’s pity or soft glances. She was born to stand out, to rule like a queen.
As the music kicked in, Lenora threw a look at Cassidy. They had picked up this dance routine together ages ago, and when it was time for Cassidy’s talent show, Lenora was right there, sharing the stage with her.
Then, Lenora got hooked on pole dancing, and naturally, when Cassidy signed up for classes, she was all in, too.
They had been thick as thieves for twenty years, dancing side by side for seven or eight of those. They had such a tight bond that they could nail a routine without even practicing.
On stage, caught between beams of light and shadow, Lenora and Cassidy made their move. They casually gripped the steel pipe as they both circled around, each step a blend of grace and allure. Their fingers, pale and slim, intertwine lightly, playfully grazing each other’s arms.
This simple yet intimate act sent a wave of excitement through the crowd watching below. Their figures, one black and one red, intertwined with each other.
Linda Crosby had just ended a phone call and walked back in, only to almost lose her balance in shock at the sight that greeted her She couldn’t help but wonder if Cassidy even remembered she was a public figure.
Rushing over to the stage side, Linda couldn’t hold back. “Cassidy, have you lost your mind?”
Cassidy, who had been a bit tipsy, totally forgot who she was. The moment her agent called her out, it was like a cold splash of water, making her sober up and visibly shrink back..
Meanwhile, Lenora was killing it with her dance, her sleek legs twining around the pole in a captivating display. It was only when she spotted someone unexpected offstage that she snapped out of her trance.
Cassidy just arched an eyebrow and smoothly made her exit from the stage, leaving Lenora to have it all to herself.
Lenora rocked a vibrant red dress on stage, totally stealing the spotlight. Some folks were skeptical when Cassidy left the stage, but that red dress was a showstopper. Impressively, not even a single hiccup threw her off her game
Harley walked in and saw something incredible-Lenora, who was usually all soft and gentle, was now dancing like a snake wrapping around the pole.
Her moves were so fluid it was
was as if her waist had no bones at all, letting her twist and wrap around the pole with ease. Her long hair flowed beautifully, catching the light just right and showing off her lively and attractive face.
Her eyes were captivating, giving off a laid-back, seductive vibe. Her red dress popped against her slim, smooth legs as she shimmied up the pole, sparking all kinds of daydreams.
Lenora slid down the pole, her red dress billowing around her as she landed gracefully. It was like she was part of the pole, effortlessly pulling off one last trick.
Lenora was a bit winded as she let go of the pole, getting ready to step off the stage. That was when she spotted Harley, just a short distance away, looking straight at her.
Standing a bit over five feet away, under the stage, Harley, in a suit, looked all cool and detached. His face was as dark as stormTclouds..
Lenora caught a glimpse of him, quickly diverted her attention, and got down the stage.
“Wow, fantastic performance! I’m already a Hugh fan, Cassidy exclaimed.
Lenora grabbed the juice Cassidy offered and flickered her forehead, “Sweet talk isn’t going to make me forget you left me

hanging on stage alone
“My bad, really sorry about that!” Cassidy quickly said, looking genuinely apologetic.
Cassidy was a top-notch comedian, no doubt. But Linda had always portrayed her as this aloof and cool character, a persona that surprisingly hadn’t crumbled over the years.
“Hey, no hugs!” Lenora pushed Cassidy away, noticing another hug attempt. “I’m all sweaty. Let’s not get gross, okay?”
Cassidy chuckled and whispered, “Guess what? Harley’s here, did you know?”
“Yeah, I knew. Lenora took a sip of her juice, trying to act nonchalant,
“When did you figure it out?” Cassidy asked.
Lenora smiled and was about to reply just as a cool, male voice interrupted from behind. “Let’s step outside and chat.”
