“No one has the right to yell at you,” he said firmly.
“Lillian is only here because she has the same rare blood type as you, She’s your lifeline.”

Ignoring the pain, I packed a small bag–only then realizing I was bleeding.
I didn’t care. I just needed to get out.
I headed straight for the nearest hospital.
“Miss Brooks, your baby is fully formed now,” the doctor said gently.
“Are you sure you want to go through with this?”
I opened my eyes slowly.
The doctor was holding a small plastic bag.
Inside was a mass of blood and tissue.
