Before Shana had a chance to respond, Kate continued her uncontrollable sobbing and accused her.
Under the bright lights, Kate’s face was tear–streaked and pitiful. “Mrs. Floyd,” she cried, her voice trembling. “I know everyone might have spoken a little too directly and upset you, but I didn’t say anything. You can’t just vent your anger on me because you’re afraid of offending anyone else.”
Every word she spoke was dripping with sorrow.
Shana rolled her eyes so hard they nearly disappeared into her skull.
She had been expecting some clever trick from this homewrecker, but this? This was it?
The poor acting, the dramatic lines–how was she even thinking of breaking into the entertainment industry with this?
Honestly, Shana had a bit of a short temper when it came to stupidity, and she couldn’t hold back anymore. “Before you do something stupid, Homewrecker, maybe you should check for cameras?”
She tilted her chin, pointing at the camera in the room’s corner. Surely, it had caught everything— whether she had pushed Kate or not, it would have been crystal clear.
Kate instinctively glanced at the camera, her expression changing slightly.
The camera was positioned subtly, so she hadn’t noticed it earlier.
All the guests‘ attention was now focused on them. Meanwhile, Henry was chatting with Roger, updating him about his grandfather’s situation.
Damon urgently nudged Henry and whispered, “Henry, look over there–Shana and Kate are about to fight!”
Henry looked over. His eyes had a dangerous gleam. He controlled his tone, excused himself, and walked toward them with long strides.
As Henry got closer, Kate bit her lip and quickly wiped the panic from her eyes. Then, clutching her stomach, she cried out, “Henry, my stomach hurts so much.”
Shana couldn’t help but laugh at the absurdity. She was truly aiming for a full–blown theatrical performance!
Henry walked right past her as though he didn’t see his legitimate wife standing there and went straight to
Kate.
He removed his jacket and draped it over Kate’s shoulders before bending down to scoop her up in his arms, carrying her toward the lounge.
The whole process was seamless—a perfect portrayal of the hero rushing to save the damsel in distress.
Shana stood there, her smile slowly disappearing.
The guests, naturally, couldn’t help but gossip. Their eyes, filled with mockery, disdain, and malicious

After three years of marriage, I had never experienced moment more embarrassing than this one.
Her hands, dangling by her sides, abruptly tightened into fists. She turned and followed them.
Just as Henry was about to pull out his phone to call Larry, someone suddenly grabbed his elbow.
He turned around and saw Shana, her face unreadable.
Her dark eyes locked onto him, and she spoke slowly, each word deliberate. “I didn’t push her. Do you believe me?”
If he just walked away, leaving Kate in his arms, how would the guests see it? They would surely think she was the one causing trouble.
She wasn’t going to shoulder the blame for this–especially not with these dirty tricks.
Kate, fearing she might slip up, looked even more pained and cried louder. “Henry, my stomach really hurts, and I feel like I’m going to throw up. I’m so scared.”
“Homewrecker, keep acting. I’ll have someone check the security footage right now!” Shana was repulsed, Haughing in frustration.
Henry, however, was impatient. He snapped, “Is this really the time for this?”
He called Larry, telling him to get the car ready.
Once the call ended, he was about to pick Kate up again, clearly ready to take her to the hospital. He abandoned Shana all by herself once more.
Shana yanked at Henry’s arm with all her strength; her fingertips turned white.
Normally, she could accept him abandoning her for his mistress, but today, at this moment, no matter what, she couldn’t let him go.
Maybe it was because she was still unwilling to let go of him, but more than that, it was the battle between
two women.
Shana tried to appeal to reason. “Henry, do you really think it’s appropriate to leave now? If she’s really in trouble, let Larry take her to the hospital. You’re not a doctor; what are you even going for?”
Her words seemed to calm Henry down a little. He pursed his lips, and just then, Kate grabbed his hand, her voice trembling. “Henry, I–I think I’m bleeding.”
His expression darkened immediately, and he lowered his voice to reassure Kate. “Don’t worry. It’s going to be fine.
Then he pulled Shana a few steps away, as if to shield Kate from hearing. He spoke in a low voice, “Shana, stop making a scene. I’ll be right back.”
He had said those same lies countless times. Shana was immune to them now. He would leave and never return, leaving her to face all the humiliation alone.

Shana took another step forward, gripping his clothes even tighter, her knuckles turning white.
“Henry, you asked me to come here and play this part with you. With so many people around, Duncan will inherit everything as soon as you leave!”
Henry’s brow furrowed in annoyance. He said, “Shana, you said it yourself–it’s all just an act. You’re nothing more than someone I paid to play the part. Don’t forget that. You have no right to stop me.”
His cold, cruel words hit her like a slap, and her face went pale.
Without another word, Henry ruthlessly shook off her hand and scooped Kate up again, striding away.
Kate in his arms was facing Shana. She smirked triumphantly.
In that moment, Shana truly understood what Kate really meant.
Even though her acting was terrible and her methods cheap, it didn’t matter. Henry favored her, so no matter what, he would always believe her.
The favored ones are always fearless..
Shana laughed bitterly at herself.
She had just called Kate stupid, but now she realized the biggest fool was herself for still hoping that the sc*mbag would choose her.
Ten minutes later, the wedding ceremony began. Shana returned to the banquet hall as if nothing had happened.
The newlyweds were on stage, sharing their touching love story, while Shana took her seat and poured herself a drink.
A voice, dripping with sarcasm, suddenly rang out. “Shana, three years ago, you were Kate’s defeated foe. Who would have thought, after all this time, you’re still her defeated foe?”
Claire, dressed to the nines with a sweet face but venomous words, couldn’t resist seizing the opportunity to strike.
“You’re not a prize, but you lost to someone even worse, such as Kate. If I were you, I wouldn’t have the face to live on. How can you sit there after all this?”
It was her chance to get back at Shana for their previous encounter..
Shana looked up briefly, then downed an entire glass of wine in one go.
The glass slammed back onto the table. With a smirk, she said, “Claire, keep talking and I’ll tear your mouth apart.”
Despite Claire’s usual lack of fear for Shana, her gaze and presence at that moment silenced her.
Her voice shook as she stammered, “Y–you wouldn’t dare!”
Shana moved her hand from the glass and grasped the bottle. “You wanna test me?”

Claire’s eyes flashed with panic. For the first time, she was genuinely intimidated, frozen in place, unable to speak.
Shana scoffed in disdain. She stood up and walked away.
The moment she left, Claire regained her composure, seething with anger.
How could Shana, despite her low status, threaten and intimidate her? Claire was determined to make her pay for this!
Claire cursed as she stormed after Shana. Her hand was about to grab Shana’s hair, but a figure suddenly blocked her path.
