Melissa’s POV
I didn’t know why I made such a rude request to Sebastian, and I was surprised by how easily he agreed.
Without Elliott’s support, I had to train harder.
If Sebastian could help me, I could at least regain 90% of my strength.
My mind was a jumble as I hesitated over whether to reply to Elliott.
I wanted him to know that I had let go of the past; we both had our own lives now, and that fact was enough for me.
He could live happily with Courteney, and I genuinely felt happiness for him.
I sincerely hoped he would extend the same love to Aaron and the unborn child; that way, as a mother, I could feel a little better about it.
But if I sent another letter, it might make it harder for both of us to let go.
The past had ended, so I resolved not to dwell on it any longer.
I didn’t know when I fell asleep, but when I opened my eyes again, Sebastian had already
left.
I casually threw on a silk robe and headed to the breakfast room.
As soon as I walked in, I saw Kala and Martell locked in a passionate kiss; if there weren’t others around, I feared they might make love right at the table.
There were quite a few people nearby, so I grabbed some food and intended to take it back to my room.
Phoebe told me those two spent all their time together without ever getting tired of each other.
Then, she gasped loudly, immediately drawing the attention of many.
“Melissa, your mark has completely disappeared!”
I quickly covered her mouth and pulled her into a corner.
“Returning to single life, I’m still getting used to it.”
“And what about Aaron? Can you really trust that bad boy?”
As a mother, my child were always my greatest concern, and Phoebe worried that I couldn’t completely let go of the past because of him.

“He preferred Courteney, and Elliott would treat him kindly.”
The thought that my son, whom I had raised, viewed me in such a way had long since chilled my heart.
After a brief exchange, I made my way toward the door.
As I opened it, I was met with Sebastian’s stern face, marked by a bright red lipstick stain, as if someone were proclaiming ownership over him.
Such provocation felt rather childish.
I smiled and greeted him respectfully.
“It seems the Alpha’s charm is enough to entice a woman so early in the morning.”
At my words, he picked up the knife from the plate, the cold light reflecting the stain on his face.
With a look of disgust, he grabbed a napkin and angrily wiped it clean.
“Good morning. How did you sleep last night?”
Sebastian gently kissed my cheek, his voice low and his tone tender.
Instinctively, I wanted to pull away, but I managed to control myself.
“Very well.”
Feeling a bit hungry, I just wanted to leave quickly.
However, he tightened his arm around my neck, his ears slightly reddening as he asked,
“Are you feeling jealous?”

Knowing that with Sebastian’s reserved nature, combined with his age, it was hard for him. to express jealousy so openly, his question made it clear he cared that.
I tossed the question back to him.

think?”
It was obvious that he was quite pleased with my response.
“I can feel your jealousy from a mile away!”
I couldn’t quite decipher his feelings, but he appeared to have a hard time hiding his happiness.
Did this guy actually enjoy seeing me jealous?

“Maybe it’s this sour pickle I’m holding that’s clouding Alpha’s judgment.”
He reached out and pinched my ear, showing a lighter side only in my presence, willing to shed the layers of armor and reveal his true self to me.
“Why did you come out dressed like this again?”
As he asked, his hand rested on my bare back.
“Didn’t I warn you last night not to dress like this around others?”
He furrowed his brows, his voice taking on a serious tone.
“It makes me feel comfortable.”
As soon as the words left my lips, he lifted me effortlessly into his arms.
I never imagined I would be carried like a child one day, and the suddenness startled me, making me grip his neck tightly.
He scratched my cheek lightly, his tongue tracing my collarbone as his lips suckled hard.
His tongue eagerly sucked at me, and soon I felt my jawline dampened by a thick, sticky liquid.
How could he do this in public?
Such bold intimacy was something I would never have dared before, and I shyly buried my face in his neck.
His half–bare chest rose and fell sharply with each breath, while his tongue moved toward my most sensitive spots on my chest.
I fought to suppress my emotions, trying to suppress my moans so as not to be noticed.
“There are so many people here; you can’t just do whatever want.”

“You enjoy dressing this way in public; I thought it was fine.”
As he spoke, his hand pinched my backside, his long fingers brushing against my most intimate areas.
Wearing a thong, I could feel myself growing slick and heated, my needs left unfulfilled.
In my embarrassment and urgency, I could only plead with him.
“Please, don’t do this.”
Sebastian seemed to ignore my words, but he carried me away from the dining room and tossing me back into the bedroom.

He received a sudden message from Basil and didn’t linger around me.
He merely stole a few greedy glances at my body before hurriedly leaving.
Moments later, a maid arrived with an entire box of new clothes to replace my wardrobe.
As I looked at the short sleeves and shorts, a sense of satisfaction washed over me.
“The Alpha said to meet him at the stables in two hours.”
After lying in bed for over half an hour, Martell’s slightly reluctant voice echoed from the doorway.
“Thanks for your hard work, Beta.”
Knowing that he was busy with Kala, yet still taking the time to pass on a message to me, I felt grateful.
When the time came, I changed into my comfortable riding outfit and stepped outside, only to encounter Lydia and her friends, their eyes burning with jealousy..
“Did you finally realize how hideous your body is, so you switched to this outfit? The Alpha doesn’t even like you, which is why he made you dress so modestly.”
Seeing that I refused to engage, Lydia’s anger flared.
She marched straight toward me, demanding, “Do you know that I was with him this morning? The lipstick stain on his face is from me. He held me like this…”
“Enough! Just go back to your own room!”
Suddenly, a roar erupted from behind her.
We both turned to see Sebastian’s eyes blazing with fury, his voice low and powerful, instilling fear in those around us.
In his hand, he held a set of red riding gear that looked particularly striking.
Having experienced Elliott, I understood that what mattered most to a man wasn’t merely being by my side for long periods.
It was the genuine care and attention that truly measured love.
Lydia shot me a complex look before swiftly leading her friends away.
I smiled as I took the riding outfit from him, got dressed up beautifully to appear in front
of him.
“It seems you’re quite skilled at riding?”
He took my hand, obvious emotions flickering in his
gaze.
“You’ll see in a moment.”
