Looking at the wedding ring on Melissa’s hand, I felt incredibly fortunate to have boldly. taken such a step.
I had even imagined how I would decorate the engagement party in
in my
mind.
Knowing that Melissa truly liked the ring I had given her made me grateful for the chance I had taken on love; otherwise, I would have missed my true love.
I never expected my heart to beat for love again until she showed up and proved me
wrong.
During dinner, I held her hand adorned with the ring, continually kissing her forehead. Everyone present was aware of our relationship and offered us their blessings.
Back in the room, Melissa lay on the bed, gazing intently at the ring on her finger.
“Does it look good when worn like this?”
She turned to look at me and said, “Your ring is so expensive, but I don’t have much savings, nor do I have an equivalent gift to give you in return.”
“So, have you thought of other measures?”
The new nightgown she wore was one I had never seen before, immediately piquing my
interest.
“So…” Melissa slowly climbed off the bed, moving closer to me and planting a kiss on my lips.

I stood there, seemingly waiting for her move, curious to see how she would give her body

At my words, Melissa stubbornly lifted her face. She had hesitated but, hearing me, leaned. in to kiss my lips.
Softly, she teased, and the atmosphere between us grew charged.
Relishing the joy of her kisses, I took her small hand and traced it along my pant leg.
My hand ventured toward her hidden places, feeling her already damp underwear.
Not wanting to wait any longer, I swiftly moved my hand to the front, unfastening the buttons of her nightgown and tugging her garment away.
Melissa stood up, the nightgown sliding off to reveal her long, slender legs.

“We need to get up early; we’re going to see your father today.”
I didn’t know much about Melissa’s family; all I knew was that her father, Francis Helberg. had once been the Alpha of Silvermoon, the largest pack in the West.
I was unaware of what had happened afterward, but he voluntarily relinquished his position to someone else and retreated with the rest of his family to the forests in the South.
It was through this opportunity that they had assisted the Meadow Pack, allowing Melissa and Elliott to meet.
As we prepared to go home, I could clearly sense Melissa’s nervousness.
“Relax, I’ll be with you,” I assured her.
“But I haven’t told them I’ve been released by Elliott; I’m no longer the Luna of the Meadow Pack.”
Melissa spoke cautiously, worried that this news might upset her father.
“It’s fine; you’re about to become the Luna of the North. I don’t think your father will blame you for that.”
I affectionately ruffled her hair, which seemed to ease her worries..
To my surprise, Francis had managed to live in such harsh conditions for so long.
When he saw us, he appeared genuinely startled, but once he learned my identity, he welcomed me friendly.
I couldn’t shake the feeling that he was observing me mysteriously, though I wasn’t sure if it was just my imagination.
I soon realized that Melissa’s brother didn’t seem to be here of his own volition.
I wanted to ask her about it in detail, but I also understood that I shouldn’t pry into her family matters before officially becoming her husband.
“Alright, Alpha! My daughter has only just informed me that she’s had some issues with her ex–husband. I don’t know if you’re aware of this, but to me, it makes her seem like a bad girl. If she causes you any trouble, please feel free to let me know at any time. As for you, I have some understanding of your situation, and I just hope you won’t bully her. If there’s anything that bothers you, I can ask her to change. However, if you choose her to be your Luna, I hope you will respect her.”
As Melissa’s father, Francis spoke to me with sincerity.

I could see where Melissa’s strong character came from in her father. He showed me photos of Melissa as a baby, and her adorable face made me cager to have our own children.
Although our time together was mostly pleasant, an odd sense of discomfort lingered, making me feel uneasy.
Francis seemed to be observing someone through me, which struck me as strange.
Was it possible that I resembled someone he knew?
As I watched Melissa sleep soundly in the passenger seat, I found it odd, yet I chose to keep my thoughts to myself.
