Chapter 6: The Approach of a Dangerous Individual
I drifted through a hazy week, and Phoebe, unable to bear my state any longer, dragged me to a regional gathering.
“I never imagined you could look so beautiful!”
As she zipped up my gown, Phoebe gasped dramatically.
She sent me off in her husband’s luxury car before hastily taking the driver’s seat herself.
“Elliott must be worried that other werewolves are eyeing you, which is why he always has you wearing those baggy hoodies.”
I didn’t respond to her question; Elliott indeed disliked it when I wore makeup.
He always believed that being natural was best, even when attending events like this, he preferred me not to dress too sexy.
“I have to say, you handled the Courteney issue quite well. Unless something unexpected happens, you can completely forget about those two.”
Phoebe spoke with a sense of righteousness, but I no longer cared.
“Let them be; tonight I just want to drink and dance.”
Arriving at the venue, I felt much more at ease looking at the diverse crowd.
“At least Elliott knew to resist for a while; our guy went off with the other woman that same day and didn’t get out of bed until the following afternoon.”
Handing me a glass of champagne, Phoebe smiled.
“Many of the female werewolves here are just victims of fate.”
As she said this, she pulled me in for a selfie.
To my surprise, everyone fell silent when they saw me, their expressions oddly strange.
Through their whispered conversations, I learned that Elliott had brought Courteney to the event.
He had previously told me he disliked such occasions, but now it seemed he simply felt I wasn’t worthy.

I shrugged nonchalantly; after all, I hadn’t interacted with Elliott for over a month.
Even knowing they were at the event, I couldn’t be bothered to think about them.
Elliott, on the other hand, had desperately tried to contact me a few times, whether through telepathy or inadvertently appearing in front of me, but I hadn’t even spared him a glance.
I had to admit that just by looking at my appearance, I had become the center of attention. at the dinner.

I frowned slightly, pulling my hand away while managing a polite smile.

I could clearly feel his grip tightening around my waist.
“Are you out of your mind, letting him get so close to you? I’m going to spank you you get back!”

It had been a long time since I felt such tenderness, and my heart skipped a beat.

Fully absorbed in the moment of tender care, I couldn’t help but feel a longing for such delicate warmth, indulging in thoughts of greedily cherishing it.

“But you must return to Rushford, right? How can we truly become friends?”
Seeing my curiosity, Atrias gently licked his fangs
“I still have some matters to handle here, and perhaps I can find more allies.”
Taking the rose, I inhaled its fragrance lightly.

Kala’s words lingered in my mind even after I left the venue and returned home.
I was so lost in thought that I didn’t notice when I stepped into the bedroom.
The moment I stepped in, Elliott seized me by the neck with a claw and slammed me to the ground.
“Melissa, how could you do this? How could you hurt me like this? What has happened between us that you felt the need to go this far?”
