Chapter 6
Chapter 6
I hadn’t run far when I was suddenly pulled back by a strong force.
The momentum sent me tumbling backward.
For a few frozen seconds, I saw an exquisitely handsome face!
I felt like I had seen him before.
Looking down, I noticed the man was shirtless, his eight–pack abs clearly visible.
His expression was serious, but his voice was unusually pleasant:
“Do you want to get revenge on them?”
“?”
I looked at him, confused.
“Who are you? This child’s game, I’m not interested in playing.”
I scanned the man before me.
He had a black stud in his ear and golden, slightly curled hair that made his fair skin stand
out.
His features were delicate, yet there was a hint of arrogance in his expression. The corners of his mouth lifted slightly:
“Don’t you want to know what Vincent has been doing behind your back all these years?”
I froze for a moment, my lips parted, and an inexplicable emotion enveloped me.
What had Vincent been doing behind my back all these years?
“Do you know him?”
The man sneered, his mouth curling with disdain.
His voice was deep as he said:
“Not only do I know him, but I know him very well.”
2015
The man’s name was Wesley Davis, a classmate of Ella’s.
He told me that Vincent had stolen his research achievements through Ella.
I found it hard to believe:
“You’re only a sophomore, where did you get these research achievements?”
Wesley let out a small laugh. “Ha, do you think only Vincent is a genius?”
I was at a loss for words, and he continued:
“I’ve spoken out through the media, but everything was suppressed by Vincent.”
I still didn’t believe it. “How could he have such power?”
Wesley’s dark eyes stared at me for a long time, and his voice turned cold:
“He doesn’t have that much power, but don’t you?”
I was even more confused by what he said. “What do you mean?”
The man didn’t answer directly. Instead, he picked up his backpack and casually slung it over his shoulder.
Then, he turned his head and said:
“Let’s go, stupid woman. I’ll take you somewhere, and then you’ll understand.”
