Chapter 7
1 followed Wesley, confused, to my family’s company.
After my parents passed away, I had entrusted the company to Hugo, my father’s best friend.
1 hadn’t been to the company in months, and even the front desk had changed.
“Excuse me, do you have an appointment?”
The receptionist asked gently.
I stood there in a daze, dumbly asking:
“Don’t you recognize me?”
She looked puzzled and turned to the woman nearby. “Supervisor, do you know this lady?”

She smiled and walked toward me, but before she could speak, I interjected:
“Margot, Vincent’s fiancée.”
She paused, her steps halting abruptly.

“What kind of woman is this? She’s lying just to climb up the social ladder.”
Just then, a sweet, affectionate voice sounded behind me.
The woman arrogantly lifted her chin and pointed toward the distance, saying haughtily:
“Look, the real person has arrived.”

Vincent showed no sign of hesitation. Instead, he took out a share transfer document.
It clearly stated that I had transferred all my shares to Vincent..
It suddenly occurred to me that this was the insurance Vincent had made me sign after he got me drunk!
But only the first page was real, the rest were fake!
I glared at him with hatred in my eyes. “How long have you been eyeing my family’s
wealth?”
“What did my family ever do to you? Why are you treating me like this?”
He scoffed coldly, gritting his teeth:
“Margot, from now on, I’m not going to let myself be treated like a dog your family keeps around to do your bidding!”
His gaze also burned with hatred, and I couldn’t understand why things had come to this.
My eyes filled with tears.
Ten years…..

In the end, we were kicked out of the company by security, under Ella’s smug gaze.
