Chapter 50 Blind
Celeste raised an eyebrow as she looked at Madelynn. The prideful indifference in her eyes pricked Madelynn’s heart.
No wonder she was that woman’s daughter. That gaze was exactly the same as hers.
Madelynn was seething with jealousy inside. Why did she have to be that woman’s daughter?
Too bad, those mother and daughter would never be able to
meet.
“Nate, Celeste’s gaze is so scary. I’m so frightened,” she said as she weakly leaned into Nathaniel’s arms.
Nathaniel lowered his gaze and looked at Celeste. This version of her felt very unfamiliar.
He had been too anxious earlier and overlooked some details.
Briar said, “Ugh…”
How could there be such disgusting people?
Celeste was speechless.
“Briar, are you alright?” Celeste asked. She had only been stalling for time, which was why she was engaging with

Briar shook her head. “I’m fine. I just got nauseated by those two,” she said.
Celeste couldn’t help but laugh. The sadness in her heart was eased by Briar’s words.
“You…” Madelynn was furious.

She had only pretended to be weak, but this woman disgusted her so much. Madelynn was grinding her teeth in anger.
“Nate…” Madelynn said as she shook Nathaniel’s arm.
Nathaniel saw Celeste smile, but it made him even angrier. “Celeste, apologize to Madelynn. You scared her,” he said.
Celeste looked at Madelynn with a mocking gaze. Her eyes were watery. Her skin was fair. She appeared so weak. She indeed looked frightened.
“Sorry, she disgusted Briar,” Celeste said. Her red lips curved into a faint, mocking smile. Her voice was soft.
So, it turned out that men really liked these delicate, innocent types.
Nathaniel suppressed the anger in his heart and stared at her smile.
Madelynn was livid. She lowered her eyelashes, and a flash of

resentment passed through her eyes.
“Celeste, just you wait.”
Fiona instantly noticed that Celeste was stalling for time but knew she needed to shift the attention back to herself.
Only then could Frederick smoothly inherit the shares.

A cold glint flashed in her eyes. “Celeste, you secretly transferred the shares and poisoned Mom. How dare you. After all, you were once the daughter–in–law of this family. How could you disregard the past? Besides, she treated you like her own child. Didn’t you hurt her feelings by doing this?” she said.
“What? Boss… you, you were the Rowe family’s
daughter–in–law?” Briar was shocked. Tears welled up in her eyes from anger.
“How could you be so blind? So, you suddenly disappeared for at few years just to suffer here?” Briar said, hugging Celeste with a pained expression.
Celeste didn’t reply.
She gave a self–deprecating smile. It really was because she had been blind.
Besides Nora, there wasn’t a single good person in the Rowe family.
Nathaniel stared intently at Celeste’s stunning face as she gave a

self–deprecating smile. He had once kissed that face so carefully.
Her broms, her lips, every part of her was alluring and seductive.
“Haha…” Fiona laughed angrily. “Celeste, a girl from the countryside, has been our daughter–in–law for a year. It is her good fortune.
“She didn’t even graduate from college. Entering the Rowe family was such a blessing for her. Instead of being grateful, she says she suffered here.
“Celeste, you should be proud of being the Rowe family’s daughter–in–law for over a year…”
“Pit! You old witch! Do you think you deserve to have my boss serve you? The one who should be proud, the one who should be honored, is you! Who do you think you are to look down on Celeste? So what if she’s from the countryside?
“You say you’re noble. Are you not eating human food, but eating crap instead?”
