Vera!
She was the one who told him I liked thugs from outside school, that I didn’t like Jasper Colthorne at all.
How could someone as proud as him accept that?
So he started giving me the cold shoulder and doing things to annoy me–really just trying to get my attention again
When his trembling hands turned to the last page and he saw that I’d been pregnant seven times, and she’d tortured every single baby to death.
Jasper completely lost it.
“Didn’t she tell me Summer only got pregnant once?
She said those were all Summer’s tricks–what woman could keep getting pregnant after that many miscarriages?”
His breathing stopped cold, his voice hoarse as he asked his assistant, the documents scattering to the floor with a “whoosh.”
But the assistant just kept his head down, not daring to respond.
“Say something!”
He suddenly kicked the assistant, eyes red like a raging beast.
The assistant trembled, stammering: “Miss Summer was the other woman between you and your wife anyway. Whatever your wife did to her was deserved. Good riddance–saves your wife from getting upset.”
The assistant’s words hit his ears clearly. Jasper suddenly froze like he’d been struck by lightning, pupils contracting violently.
Turns out in places he didn’t know about, I’d been condemned by everyone.
Even people around him could casually decide whether I lived or died.
“Hahahahaha-”
He laughed maniacally. Just how much had he spoiled Vera to make everyone around him treat me so arrogantly?
But the truth was right in front of him–I’d never wronged them.
Instead, all these years, Vera had used him to do terrible things to me.
Jasper’s laughter echoed through the empty basement, like a dying beast’s final roar.
He suddenly overturned what little furniture was in the basement.
Suddenly, a notebook fell out of a drawer.
It looked familiar–that was my favorite notebook from middle school. Every time he wanted to look at it, I wouldn’t let him, making him furious.
“Jasper said he’d marry me today. So happy I ate two extra bowls of rice at dinner.”
“Jasper, you better keep your word! Even though I’m just the driver’s daughter, I’ll work really hard to become someone who can stand beside you.”
“A new girl came to school. She wanted to be my friend, but every time she saw Jasper, she’d ignore me and buddy up with him.”
“I found out Vera’s secret–turns out she likes that thug Chase from outside school. But Jasper likes her so much, he’ll be heartbroken, right?”
“Turns out Vera’s barren. I should be nicer to her and try to help heal her heart.”
After that, the diary stayed blank.

Chapter 7
Until the last page, with just one short line: “Jasper, I tried my best, but I still can’t stand beside you. I hope you’re happy
Reading those words, Jasper felt his heart being torn apart, over and over.
In his youth, he really had thought about marrying Summer.
But in the end, Vera had him completely fooled.
“Honey, what are you doing down there?”
Vera came down in her high heels, furious.
“You promised not to bother with her! You’re lying to me again-”
“You’re the one who’s been lying to me, Vera!”
Jasper stared at this woman he’d cherished for years. Even though she was barren, he’d loved her even more because of it.
But what about her?
She’d hidden so much from him.
“Honey, what are you talking about? Has Summer been badmouthing me again?
I won’t stand for it! This time we can’t just starve her for three days–make it five or six days so she really learns her lesson.”
“Call the police!”
Jasper stared coldly at Vera, but spoke to his assistant.
“But your wife-
The assistant tried to defend Vera, but Jasper’s eagle–sharp glare scared him into silence.
“Colthorne Corporation CEO’s Wife Kills Husband’s Childhood Friend in Jealous Rage!”
“Tomorrow’s front page headline.”
