Willow didn’t take it back.“What if Jiang Sheng Tech becomes my company? 

Lucian’s calm gaze seemed to see right through her. 

“Jiang Sheng’s profits are declining. My father is about to sell its core technology to Ohm Tech.1 believe Ohm Tech wants more than just the technology,” Willow said seriously.“I won’t let Jiang Sheng fall into foreign hands!” 

Lucian remained impassive, asking as casually as if suggesting a meal:“Acquire full ownership of Jiang Sheng within two months.” 

The dignitaries gasped. 

“That’s asking too much.“They’d investigated Willow’s background.“She recently divorced, returned to her family at eighteen, and has no stake in Jiang Sheng.Acquiring it in two months is unrealistic.” 

Xia Shangyu added, “Sterling is selling to Ohm Tech; he doesn’t intend for his children to inherit the company.” 

Willow shook her head.“Two months is impossible.” 

Lucian tossed the document on the table.“If you can’t, it shows inefficiency and lack of ability.” 

“My father signs with Ohm Tech next month. I’ll acquire Jiang Sheng within one month!” Several business leaders‘ pupils dilated.Xia Shangyu’s jaw dropped. Lucian finally looked at Willow. 

“Good,” he said, without questioning her decision. 

Peng stroked his chin.“If you can acquire Jiang Sheng in one month, I offer you the Chief Technology Advisor position at Tok Group.Salary, stock options, benefits–name your price!” 

Xia Shangyu protested, “Old Peng, don’t try to steal her! Ms. James, if you acquire Jiang Sheng, consider teaching at Jing University.I’ll provide you with a lab and any research team you want!” 

An official added, “Leading your own team is more fulfilling. Ms. James, your future is bright! Wouldn’t that be better?”

*Crash!*A glass shattered.Fletcher, talking to business associates, turned to see a female waiter crouching beside broken glass.She looked panicked. 

Fletcher frowned.He couldn’t help but recall Willow breaking an Hermès dinner set when they were newly married. The set fell when she opened a cabinet. Willow had salvaged one bowl and said, “I saved your bowl.“He’d scooped her up, away from the broken pieces. The memory struck him hard. The waiter, noticing red wine on his expensive shoes, instinctively reached out to wipe it. 

Serena, chatting with a business tycoon, looked towards the sound.She saw a waiter dropping several glasses.A female waiter! 

Serena became alert.Her eyes widened.This was the same girl from Fletcher’s divorce party, a hostess from the Golden Shine Club!This seemingly timid girl had a way of making men want to protect her.She always created a scene around Fletcher!She definitely wanted his attention! Serena excused herself urgently.
