Chapter 14
“What did I promise you?” I found Charles ridiculous. “Since you want to hear it again.I’ll say it once more.”
“You broke your vow, cheated in marriage, and Olivia knew about it,even hiring internet trolls to slander me. What you did at the banquet–I can never forgive it.”
Both Charles and Olivia’s faces turned ugly, but Rogerio seemed somewhat pleased.
He wrapped his arm around me and shoved past Charles, saying, “I wish you and Miss Olivia would be like a turtle and dog lasting forever.”
Charles had nowhere to vent his anger and could only stare at me with resentment.
“Charlotte Edwards, are you really going to degrade yourself like this?”
I felt Rogerio ‘s arm muscles tense suddenly and quickly grabbed his wrist. “Don’t worry about it.”
The greatest contempt is to ignore. Dealing with Charles now, ignoring him is enough.
For the next few days,I carried out the act of ignoring him thoroughly.
Charles didn’t have my new phone number, and I had blocked him on social media.
Even if he wanted to contact me,he couldn’t find a way.
I spent my time in Rogerio ‘s mountain villa, tending to flowers and playing with birds, feeling like time had slowed
down.
The next time I heard news about Charles was on a dance variety show I really liked.
A few contestants had just finished performing when the host announced a mysterious guest.
Then,Olivia took the stage.
Although I was curious about her appearance,I wasn’t too surprised.
She’s good at marketing herself, and the “best dancer” label in the dance world was something she had coined
herself.
Recently, due to public opinion, she had to keep a low profile for a while.
But with her personality, she would never stay quiet for long.
Here she was, making her presence known again.
Olivia wore a simple white camisole dress, her face made up with an extremely difficult–to–pull–off “bare–faced” makeup, smiling bravely and fearlessly at the camera.

Chapter 14
“I know I’ve done some wrong things and hurt innocent people. No matter how I argue, these mistakes can’t be forgiven.” she said.
“Buteven facing the current situation.I have no regrets about my choices.“
“True love is not a crime. Suppressing my feelings was a cruel thing both for me and for him.”
I will try to make up for the people I unintentionally hurt, but I won’t give up on Charles.”
“Because true love is not a crime.”
This sounded so scripted yet it was classic Olivia.
She said she would perform a dance, titled “Love Without Regret.”
Until that moment.I had been casually glancing at the screen.
But when the music started and Olivia moved into her dance,I stood up in shock.
This dance… was mine!
A few months ago,I had just won a major dance award, and the TV station had invited me to prepare a solo dance to perform at the Christmas Gala.
The British people hold the Christmas in high regard, and so did I.
A bit selfishly.I wanted to use this dance to tell my late parents that I was fine, that I was strong,and-
I believed in them.
For this dance,I had turned down several performances.
During that time,I stayed locked in my home dance studio, choreographing and refining the movements.
When the final dance was done,I only showed it to Charles.
He even recorded it on his phone, saying he would keep it to watch repeatedly.
So,Charles gave this dance, which I had poured months of effort into,to Olivia!
How dare he?!
My heart hurt with anger.
Charles knew how much this dance meant to me, yet he intentionally gave it to Olivia as a weapon for a vile
comeback.
Disgusting! Despicable!
What made it worse was that the show was a replay, and the live broadcast had been the night before.

Chapter 14
Everything that needed to be seen had already been seen.
I tremblingly took out my phone and opened social media.
Sure enough.Olivia’s reputation had made a complete turnaround.
Especially after a prominent dancer praised her choreography, her fans seized the moment to chant “True love is not a crime” and bombarded my account, trying to morally blackmail me.
“Charlotte Edwards, Olivia has already apologized. You’re older than her,you won’t hold grudges, right?”
“Actually,Olivia didn’t do anything wrong. She just met the right person at the wrong time.”
“I say, doesn’t Charlotte Edwards have some responsibility too? She couldn’t keep President Carter’s heart, who can she blame?”
“Yeah, our Olivia is just a victim of having too much to offer.”
The fans who blindly supported Olivia, despite knowing her affair, clearly had no moral compass.
I didn’t care about anything they said. I just wanted to expose the truth.
My finger almost hit the “post” button, but then I stopped.
