Chapter 96
When I turn to look at her my eyes are glowing blue because of how angry I am. I turn it off quickly, but I know she saw it. Its yet another thing I have to explain to her.
“Go in the bathroom and lock the door.” I command.
She protests and tells me I’m scaring her. That was the last thing I wanted. I just want to be
with her.
“Lee, just do it. Remember I love you.”
This feels like a goodbye. I think its because I know it is. She wants answers and the only way she gets those is if I tell her everything, including that I am a wolf.
“You love me? Damion why are you acting like this?”
I am losing time. He’s close, and he’s not alone.
“Please just do what I say Lee. I will explain everything as soon as I can.” I wish I didn’t have to though.
I kiss her forehead and drag her into the bathroom. When I shut the door I remember exactly who Lee is, and I know she won’t actually stay in there. I grab her desk chair and put it under the door knob so she can’t leave until I get her out. Then, I make my way outside to take care of the situation.
My eyes are glowing and my skin is hot. I am ready to change at any moment if needed.
The second I am outside a brown wolf emerges from the shadows. His eyes are glowing green. A few seconds later another wolf emerges. This wolf is black with yellow eyes. Based off their scent they are related.
“This is my territory and unless you want me to rip you apart, I suggest you get the hell out of Sun Valley.”

Chaptet 96
The black one growls in return. He thinks I’m bluffing.
I hear Lee banging on the door from inside the house. They must hear it too because they take a few steps forward while licking their snouts and baring their teeth.
They want Lee. Thats all I need to know.
I let them get a little closer until I am so angry that the change rips right through my body. It doesn’t hurt and it isn’t slow. My mate is in danger and I will die protecting her.
The wolves take a few steps back, but once they see I am fully changed and ready for a fight, the brown wolf lunges. I jump and sink me teeth into his shoulder. I drop him to the floor and go for the other one.
Clearly, he is the stronger one. We roll around on the ground, each trying to hurt the other. He bites my legs and I whimper as the pain seemed to hit me.
I see the door to the bathroom and use my hearing to hear Lee’s heart beating. That’s the way I’d like to keep it.
I quickly get up and lunge at him with my claws. In one swift motion I sink them into his side and drag them down. He tries to get away from me, but doesn’t until I let him go. He drops to the ground and the other wolf comes to check on him. They both mange to get up and try to come at me again.
The brown one slashes my chest with his claws and at the same time I throw the black one against a tree with my paw.
We are all weak. I know I can’t kill them here. I don’t want Lee to come outside and see two dead wolves and think I am a murder. Plus, when I do kill them. It will be slow.
They leave through the woods and I shift back. I am on my hands and knees with blooding dripping down my chest and calf. I manage to get up and put on the basket ball shorts I have outside in the bushes.
I walk back inside and stand in front of the door. Lee’s scent is everywhere around me. She is right behind that door. I can’t see her like this though.

I will my body to heal as I close my eyes and think of images of her. Her smile, her laugh, her kiss, her voice when she tells me she loves
- me. Her legs wrapped around me, her moans, her soft lips, the way she fits around me
I open my eyes and look down and my chest. It’s completely healed, not a drop of blood anywhere. Same for my leg.
I reach out and take the chair from the door, slowly I twist the knob, and open the door. There she is. Theres my girl.
She runs up to me and throws her arms around my neck. I welcome the feeling of her skin and body against mine. My arms wrap around her waist and I bury my face in her neck
She pulls back and asks me what happened. All I say it we need to talk. I have never dreaded talking to Lee in my life, but at this moment I do.
Damion’s House
I walk Lee into my house and immediately I feel her tense up. It of course doesn’t help that all of our friends and family are sitting there just staring at us.
