Chapter 101
“He almost bit you? Where?” Mr. Cruz asks seriously.
“My neck.”
“Right here.” I say while point to the spot between the shoulder and neck on Damion.
He sucks in a breath.
“What?” I ask.
“I think we should talk about another important part of being a wolf. Have you ever heard
of a mate?” He inquires.
“What is it with you and Warren saying mate? Its soulmate.”
He nods, “For humans it is, but for wolves it mate. It is said that the moon goodness splits souls in half and gives each half to a different person, or wolf. These two people are meant to be together. Destined to find each other and fall madly in love. They feel each other’s emotions and can never be apart for long… You see what happens when they are.” He says while look at Damion.
My lips part and my eyes tear up, “Damion can’t heal because he was apart from me? Because I left him?”
“Lee you didn’t know.” Kasey says trying to make me feel better.
“I don’t care if I knew. He is dying because of me.” I say while getting up from the bed.
I start to walk away, but a hand grabs my wrist is a bruising hold preventing me from doing so. I turn back and see Damion’s hand around my wrist.
“Damion, can you hear me?” Mrs. Cruz says as she walk towards him.
He doesn’t respond, but he doesn’t let go either. I sit down on his bed again and hold his

hand as Mrs. Cruz asks him questions. When he doesn’t say anything we all figure out he’s
still unconscious.
They all decide to give us some time and leave me to stay with him. I lay down beside him and cuddle up to his chest. I tear slips down my face and onto him. I hate knowing her would be ok if I had just tried to talk to him.
I hug him closer to me and lift my head so that my mouth is just below his ear. I whisper, “I love you” to him and lay back down. I trace his abs and think about what would have happened if I had lost him.
Could I go without ever seeing him? Kissing him? Being with him?
To these questions the answer is…
Damion’s POV:
She still loves me.
She came to help me.
I haven’t lost her, so fuck that guy she was hugging. She’s mine.
Lee groans and snuggle her face into my chest. I smile looking down at her like I have for the last two hours, just watching her sleep.
look down at the bandage and take a corner off. I expect to see it in the process of healing. but instead it’s completely healed. My skin is nice and smooth. You can’t even tell a few hours ago I was bleeding out.
I take the rest of the bandage off and lay it down next to me. Lee’s hand slides her hand over my chest until it reaches my side, where the white bandage just was. She unconsciously rubs my side with her hand.
“Good morning sweetheart.” I say in my rough morning voice.
She smiles softly with her eyes closed, “Morning baby.”
Chapter 101
I groan when she calls me baby. I missed that. I missed her voice, her scent, her warmth, her body, everything about her. As she lays with her body wrapped around me, I am fighting to not pin her to the bed and fuck her so hard she takes me back.
“Tell me you love me.” I whisper in her ear.
“I love you.” She mumbles half asleep and then kisses my chest.
“Even though I’m a wolf?”
“Huh?” She asks groggily.
Then she gasps as her eyes shoot open. She quickly gets up and straddles me. Her hands come up to cup my cheeks and she looks at me with a worried expression.
“Are you ok? Does anything hurt? Did it heal ok?” She asks faster than I can comprehend.
“I’m fine sweetheart. I healed just fine.” I say looking up at her and brushing a strand of hair out of her face.
She looks down at my side and softy skims her fingers over it making goosebumps appear all of my skin. She tucks her bottom lip in between her teeth as she makes sure I’m ok.
I reach up
and untuck it with my thumb. I leave my hand under her chin and stroke her bottom lips with her thumb as she look at me with parted lips that are begging to be kissed. Her face inches closer to mine as she stares into my eyes.
I move a little more forward and get lost in those blue, green eyes of hers. They look like little Earth’s in her eyes.
“Damion.” She says in whisper.
“Yes?”
She moves a little closer, “I need to kiss you.”
“I need you to kiss me.” I respond.
Chaptet 101
Her eyes dart to my lips and then back up before I do the same. The tension is boiling over
and I know we will both break at any moment. A few more second pass and then her lips. smash against mine. Her hands run through my hair as she pushes my face closer to her. We both kiss each other with hunger and need.
