I take my hand off the gash in her stomach and watch as her blood runs down my finger tips. There is too much blood. The hospital is too far, they wouldn’t be able to save her.
Her dress is stained red, and so are my hands.
“Do something!” He yells at me.
“1–I can’t. I don’t know if this is what she would want. I don’t… I don’t know what she wants.” I say as my voice fades into a whisper.
“Son, if you don’t bite her soon she will die. Are you prepared for that?” My dad asks as the pack looks at me with pity and sadness.
“Of course I’m not. But what if I bite her and she hates me for it? I just want her to be happy, even if I’m miserable.” My voice breaks while I try to keep it together.
A tear slides down my face and drops on her neck. I tune into my wolf hearing and listen to
her faint heart beat.

“Save her.” Kasey suddenly says.
“She wants to be with you, and I know for a fact that it wouldn’t matter what she or you was as long as you were together.” Tears stream down her face as her eyes never leave her

I look up at him and see his blood soaked white shirt. He has a few cuts that seems to be healing, but the look on his face is haunting. I look around and see that everyone has that same look. Fear. Absolute and utter fear.
Their Luna is dying in front of their eyes.

“I need you and I love you.” Lee’s voice whispers in my head.
I hope she still feels the same way after she wakes up.
My K–9s grow and I open my mouth slightly so that there is room for them. My eyes start to glow bright red and everyone stills.
“Just come back to me.” I hear her say.
1 cup her left cheek with my left hand and turn her head to the same direction. Slowly, I lean down until my nose brushes her neck. My jaw opens wider and then I sink my teeth.

Her body jerks and arch’s up as the venom starts to make its way through her veins. My teeth retract into my gums and I pull away. The taste of her blood is still on my tongue.
“Please stay with me sweetheart.” I whisper to her as I look for any indication that the bite. worked. If it didn’t she’ll die, and if her body rejects it she’ll die.
“Please. Please. Please.” I beg.
“Her head.” Amber gasps..
I turn her face to me again and see the wound on her head healing before my eyes. The skin rebuilds itself until the only thing that remains is the dried blood on her hairline and
forehead.
“Its working.” Luca says in disbelief.
More of her minor cute start to heal as we all watch. Soon, we see the three gashes on her stomach start to heal too. Her body took the bite.
“It worked Damion. She’s going to be ok, but she won’t wake up until the transition is complete. Take her home and make her comfortable. We’ll clean up here.” My dad says as I stare down at Lee’s body.
Slowly, her skins natural glow is coming back. She still needs more time to adjust though,

I nod and pick her up bridle style as everyone backs up so that we can leave. Nobody looks away from her as I walk through the crowd of people. Each person I pass sighs in relief as they look at her body in my arms. We can all sense the shift happening. A connection between the pack and Lee is being built as she becomes biologically like us.
“Damion.” My dad calls.
I turn around and see him jog up to me. “Here take my truck.” He says before putting the keys in my hand that is under Lee.
“I’m proud of you.” He says as he looks into my eyes. Then, he walks away and starts yelling out orders. Some are on clean up duty, and others that are able to, are tasked with hunting the rogues that fled when their Alpha died.
Alex’s dad is lying unconscious on the field, but I see some pack members pick his body up and start to drag him away. I don’t know where they’re taking him and I don’t care.
I won’t waist another second of time worrying about him when I am with Lee.
I open the back door of my dads truck and softly lay Lee’s body down on the back seat. I touch her to see if she’s cold because I know she always is, but not this time. A smile creeps onto my face as I feel her skin. Its hot, like mine.
I shut her door and make my way to the drivers side before driving us home. When we finally arrive I take her straight up to my room and lay her on my bed before going to run
her a bath.
