Story7–Chapter 1
On the wedding day, my fiancé called off the wedding on the spot and walked down the aisle holding my best friend’s hand.
I ran out of the venue in a daze, but then I suddenly suffered a car accident and became paralyzed. And I was unable to pursue a career in dancing again.
In a moment of despair and helplessness, it was Jaidyn Weston, my best friend’s uncle, who grabbed me as I was about to jump into the river.
He declared his love for me to the whole world and married me into his family with a century
wedding.
On the third anniversary of our marriage, I unexpectedly overheard him instructing his assistant, “As usual, ask the doctor to replace the medicine for treating my wife’s leg with vitamins, and come up with an excuse to postpone the rehabilitation treatment.”
The assistant hesitated and said, “But Mr. Weston… The doctor said that if we kept delaying Mrs.
Weston’s treatment, she might never be able to walk again…”
“Previously, you intentionally had someone cause an accident to leave Ms. Weston paralyzed, and now Ms. Weston has become the principal dancer and is well–loved by her husband’s family… Do you still need to guard against Mrs. Weston like this…?”
“Stop being so annoying! I don’t care if she could stand up. After all, I’ll take care of her for the rest of my life.”
Jaidyn looked desolate and gazed into the distance, saying, “Since Lorena and I cannot be together due to societal norms, I will protect her from any harm for the rest of her life! I will never let anyone hinder her happiness!”

Upon hearing the truth of all these matters, I covered my mouth and stepped back in shock.
I never imagined that all the encounters and what I thought was redemption were actually deliberately created by Jaidyn!
Tears kept pouring down uncontrollably, and the heart was in extreme pain.
Footsteps could be heard from inside the door, and I quickly turned my wheelchair and escaped to
the backyard of the villa.
At this moment, the storage room that Jaidyn never allowed anyone to enter had its door slightly ajar.
Walking inside, all around the walls were hung with photographs and portraits of Lorena Weston from childhood to adulthood.

The dance certificates and trophies she had won, along with the dance shoes and costumes she had worn over the years, were all replicated and bought by Jaidyn in the same style, treasured and kept in a glass cabinet.
Every single place here displayed his infatuation with Lorena.
In the middle of the room, an adoption document revealed his true relationship with Lorena.
Originally, Jaidyn was adopted as a son by Lorena’s grandfather when he was in his teens, and they had no blood relation whatsoever.
I cried and laughed again, Jaidyn, you really fooled me so badly!
Since that was the case, then I would expose their secrets.
I left with a refreshed mood, and as I was exiting the backyard, I happened to run into Jaidyn, who was rushing over.
He paused for a moment and said, “Lori, why did you come here all of a sudden? You didn’t see anything, did you?”
“No, it’s just that I haven’t been to the garden for a long time, so I accidentally went in the wrong
direction.”
Jaidyn sighed with relief and lifted me up from the wheelchair, saying, “Sweetie, why do you seem more confused as you grow older? The guests have all arrived, and I’ll take you to celebrate our
anniversary.”
His warm lips pressed against my forehead, but all I felt in that moment was a chilling coldness.
When we arrived at the banquet hall, the guests looked at Jaidyn admiringly as he carried me in.
But I saw the three–layered strawberry cream cake in the middle at a glance.
I have always been severely lactose intolerant, and strawberries were Lorena’s favorite flavor.
Sure enough, as soon as Jaidyn sat me down in the main seat, Lorena came bouncing over and shook his arm, saying, “Uncle, when will we cut the cake?”
“On your and Auntie’s anniversary, you prepared my favorite cake. You’re so sweet!”
Jaidyn unabashedly scratched her nose tip, “Wait for me to finish giving your auntie her gift first.”
Jaidyn took out a bracelet and put it on me.
I remembered a collector friend who was excitedly telling me recently that Jaidyn had entrusted her to buy a top–grade Emperor Green Jade necklace. As a token of gratitude, she had also gifted Jaidyn
abracelet.
At that moment, the emperor green necklace was shining brightly around Lorena’s neck, while my

wrist–sized bracelet hung loosely,
During the dance party segment, just like in previous years, I sat in the audien
Lorena linked her arm with Jaidyn’s and asked me, “Auntie, since you can’t move you beg, I’l dance the opening dance with my uncle, You wouldn’t mind, right?”
Without waiting for my response, the two of them had already entered the dance floor
Jaidyn tightly and tenderly wrapped his right arm around Lorena’s waist, with a pair of peach blossom eyes that could only contain Lorena and nothing else.
It was supposed to be our wedding anniversary, but at this moment, it had completely turned into his and Lorena’s domain.
I used to think that Jaidyn held grand anniversary celebrations every year because he doted on me and didn’t want other celebrities to look down on me. Now it seemed that this was his true intention
all along.
Through our days, he approached his true love by chance.
The surrounding guests whispered, “Wow, Ms. Weston truly lives up to her reputation as the lead dancer. She looks so beautiful when she dances! If only she and Mr. Weston weren’t endle and niece, they would make a much better couple than his crippled wife.”
“Yeah, that’s right! Although Mrs. Weston used to be a talented young girl in the dance world, she now become a complete wreck! I bet Mr. Weston will only be with her for a few more years. Then, she’ll just be dumped and no one will want her.”
Jaidyn was completely focused on dancing with Lorena, paying no attention to what was happening on my side.
When he was not present, these upper–class people never bothered to hide their malice towards
- me.
The mocking words grew more and more intense, and I helplessly fled the scene. I called my lawyer to help me draft a divorce agreement and took the opportunity to book a fake death service.
