Jaidyn did not return overnight.
The next day, I set off to the dance troupe alone.
Today was the day when Jaidyn and I were going to attend the celebration dinner for Lorena’s
promotion to chief dancer.
Since I became paralyzed three years ago, I have never set foot in this place where I once received
countless honors.
And after the accident, the dance troupe was also bought by Jaidyn early on.
What he said to me at the time was that he felt this place, after all, carried my past, and he hoped to
preserve this memory for me.
Looking back now, he was always just trying to lift his beloved Lorena to the throne from beginning
to end!
I forced a smile as my gaze met Jaidyn, who was helping Lorena out of the car.
He walked briskly towards her and said, “Sorry, sweetheart, the road was closed last night, so I
couldn’t make it back in time.”
I didn’t care about the excuses he found and nodded lightly.
Jaidyn still wanted to explain, but Lorena suddenly stepped forward to take control of my
wheelchair. “Uncle, there are many industry big shots over there who want to talk to you! I’ll stay
here with Auntie, so you can go and socialize with them.”
After hesitating, Jaidyn glanced at me and left.
Actually, after Lorena and my ex–fiancé betrayed me, I stopped having any contact with her
privately.
Many times, our interactions were also due to Jaidyn and her relationship with me. I am not sure
why she suddenly became close to me.
Before I could say anything, Lorena took it upon herself to push me onto the dance troupe’s hall of
fame.
All of my performance photos and awards have been taken down here, and in their place are all of
her photos and honors.
Lorena was too lazy to pretend anymore, and a smug voice came from above my head, saying, “So what if you’re a genius girl? Lori Everett, now you’re nothing but someone who can be firmly stepped on by me!”

She walked up to me while talking, and proudly extended her leg. “Have you seen these diamond high heels on my feet? These were specially customized by my uncle to congratulate me on my promotion to chief!”
“Auntie, do you like it? Oh, I forgot, Auntie, you were paralyzed, even if you like it, you can’t wear such beautiful high heels!”

He only married you back then because I was interested in your fiancé and didn’t want you to be in the way, so I asked him to pursue you~”

I looked up at her and said, “Shouldn’t it be you who feels ashamed? You can’t match my abilities, so the only chance you have to stand out is when I have a leg injury. Your dancing talent is so poor, don’t you really consider changing your career?”
Lorena got furious when I poked her, and she kicked my wheelchair hard.
“You scum! You have now become a dead cripple, yet you dare to pretend to be arrogant in front of
me!”
She angrily pushed me towards the garden pool on the outskirts of the dance troupe, laughing and saying, “Uncle Xiao, do you always love to call me Lori in bed?”
“I had a nickname called Lolly, oh, because I loved eating candy when I was little, and my uncle specially gave it to me~”
“Lori, I want you to see with your own eyes as I take away all your belongings! How about we conduct an experiment, so you can see for yourself who Uncle really cares about!”
After Lorena finished speaking, she grabbed my wheelchair and we both fell into the pool.
