The man’s body tensed for a moment, and disappointment was evident at first glance.
I actually didn’t have the idea of never getting married throughout my life. A little spice is still
needed in life.
But I couldn’t possibly marry someone who was almost a stranger to me.
“Let him be my assistant first, and we’ll talk about marriage later!”
As soon as the words fell, both men in the study were very happy.
After laughing enough, my father left me alone and asked me cautiously.
‘Matilda, are you still thinking about that Theodore?”
His sudden question made me momentarily bewildered.
Seeing my absent–mindedness, my father became even more certain that I had not forgotten him.
I muttered a few words to myself there for no reason.
“Did I do things a bit too harshly?”
I had good hearing and could hear.
My father coughed a few times uncomfortably and then slowly explained to me.
After I left, my parents came to know the whole truth of the matter.
In order to vent their anger on me, they destroyed the companies of the Kramer family and the Tanner family.
And the Horne family, who cared so much about their reputation, spread Skyla’s affair to the public, causing a very ugly situation.
Several men approached the Horne family claiming to be the father of the child.
Skyla’s parents were so angry that they both went to the hospital.
Actually, it wouldn’t be a big deal if Skyla were pregnant, but her behavior was just too disgusting.
After the Tanner family went bankrupt, Skyla married Theodore with her children.
I suddenly realized, and I wondered why there was an additional fiancé out of nowhere.
Originally, I saw that Theodore was in a miserable state now, and I was afraid that if I mentioned our past relationship, I would blame him.
I smiled helplessly and felt grateful to have family by my side.

. When my daughter was two years old, I went back to my home country with my parents.
My parents had the idea of returning to their home country a long time ago.
If I hadn’t been pregnant at that time, they would have gone back already.
My daughter took my surname, and I named her Gemma Kramer.
I hope she will always be loved like a little baby.
Stepping on this familiar land once again, my state of mind at this moment is completely different
from when I first arrived.
I had many wonderful things now.
The love of parents, the thoughtfulness of husband, and the warmth of daughter.
I didn’t know if the world was really so small, but going around in circles led me to meet Skyla.
But she was completely different from what I remembered.
When I walked past her, I didn’t expect Skyla to spot me in the crowd at first glance.
She suddenly dropped the shovel in her hand and ran towards me.
I thought she came to provoke me, but I didn’t expect her to cry in front of me.
The tone is almost humble.
“Matilda, please go and see Theo once, that’s all I ask.”
She was afraid that I would leave, so she tightly held onto my sleeve and asked the little boy beside
her to run upstairs and call for help.
There is another little girl, slightly older than my daughter, being led by Skyla.
My husband wanted to remove Skyla, but I shook my head at him.
If I don’t even have the courage to meet Theodore now, then these past few years have truly been inf
vain.
Theodore stumbled down from upstairs, reeking of alcohol, and my daughter instantly covered her
nose.
I asked my husband to hold our daughter and stand further away, waiting for me.
Theodore saw me frown, he smelled the scent on himself, and awkwardly tugged at the corners of
‘his mouth.
Took a few steps back.
