Caitlin’s gaze turned cold as she stared at Zora’s defiant face.
After a few seconds of silence, she said, “Fine, let’s start now. No break in between. I really don’t have much time!”
“Alright!” Zora quickly signaled the referee to start the final round immediately.
The final round required each participant to fire 10 shots within a set time, with the higher score determining the winner.
Both women lifted their air rifles, preparing to aim. Zora felt confident as she fired one shot after another, each one hitting the target with precision.
Caitlin took a moment to aim and fired!
Bang! Bang! Bang…
The rapid sounds of ten shots rang out in succession, and within ten seconds, Caitlin had finished all ten shots. She set the rifle down, removed her ear protection and gloves, and said, “Sorry, Miss Harris, I have to leave now. You can let me know
the results later!”
Zora was unaffected. She felt certain that Caitlin had no chance of winning.
From her previous shots, it was obvious Caitlin had missed her target–probably all of them. Zora felt that victory was already within her grasp.
But the results soon proved her wrong.
10.9, 10.9, 10.9…
The system reported Caitlin’s scores, all marked at 10.9. This meant every single one of Caitlin’s shots hit the bullseye with perfect precision.
Zora was stunned. She had forgotten about the remaining shots she still had to fire, and she was now behind, with a reminder that her time was up. There was no need to continue; she had lost.
The first three of Zora’s shots had been good–over 10 rings–but none of them matched Caitlin’s perfect 10.9.
Zora stared at Caitlin’s retreating back, for the first time feeling the overwhelming power of the woman. Caitlin was
terrifying!
“Wow, sister–in–law, you’re amazing!” Yates jumped up as Caitlin walked by, excited beyond belief.
If Sebastian hadn’t been there, Yates would have rushed over to hug her. “Sister–in–law, from now on, you’re my idol! The idol I admire! Please sign something for me!”
Caitlin couldn’t help but smile, shaking her head. Yates seemed to have forgotten that was supposed to be a dignified
actor.
The other men all cast admiring glances at Caitlin, and Sebastian immediately handed her a bottle of water.

Caitlin took a sip and said, “I need to leave now.”
“I’ll go with you,” Sebastian replied, knowing exactly where she was headed.
The two packed their things and said goodbye to their friends. Caitlin didn’t forget to give Zeke a quick word, “Brother, ! have something to do, but I’ll find you later.”
With that, Caitlin and Sebastian hurriedly left the shooting range.
After they left, the rest of their friends stayed for a bit, and Benjamin even took Wendy along when he left.
The shooting range was now only left with Zora and her people, and Zeke, who had not yet left.
Zeke was about to leave when Zora approached him, “Mr. Preston!”
Zeke gave her a cold glance and replied indifferently, “Miss Harris, is there something you need?”
Zora lifted her chin proudly and said, “I know Mr. Preston is not only Caitlin’s older brother but also one of her admirers, right?”
Zeke didn’t respond, so Zora continued, “Doesn’t it bother you to see her walking away with another man?”
Zeke’s expression remained unmoved, “What exactly are you trying to say, Miss Harris?”
Zora sneered, “I’m saying, if you want the woman you like, you should take action. Just watching from the sidelines and letting her go with someone else? That’s the behavior of a coward.”
Zeke furrowed his brow, staring at her as she continued to provoke him.
Zora pushed further, “If you’re willing, how about we team up? You and I can make sure Caitlin and Sebastian can’t stay together, and then you’ll have your chance.”
Zeke snorted after hearing her proposal, “Miss Harris, you’re really good at scheming. You claim to be helping me, you’re clearly just looking out for yourself. Are you still not giving up on Sebastian?”

As soon as James appeared, they were to notify her.
Not long ago, after the first round of the competition, Caitlin received a message from her subordinates. They reported that a mysterious man had been seen at Cherry Blossom Ridge.
Caitlin was certain that it was her brother, James.
After seeing the video, he must have come to find her.
She had to get there quickly!
“Can you drive faster?” Caitlin asked the driver anxiously.
The driver had already pushed the speed to its limit, and the car sped along the road.
“Don’t worry, you’ll see Harrison soon,” Sebastian reassured her, but Caitlin’s mind was already elsewhere.
At Cherry Blossom Ridge, two of Caitlin’s subordinates were hiding in the shadows, keeping a close eye on the area.
They saw the mysterious man enter the grove, and he had not yet come out.
As they were about to report back to Caitlin, they suddenly felt a shadow looming behind them.
Before they could react, their throats were slit swiftly, and they collapsed to the ground.
It was Uesugi, wearing a disguise. He had followed the trail James had left behind.
He suspected that James was still alive!
How did he know?
After returning to the place where he had thrown James into the ravine the night before, Uesugi found no body. He noticed signs of climbing on the slope, which confirmed that James was still alive.
James had betrayed their master, and as a traitor, he had to be eliminated.
So, Uesugi waited for James at Cherry Blossom Ridge. If he showed up, Uesugi would not hesitate to kill him.
Thirty minutes later, James, injured and weary, arrived at Cherry Blossom Ridge.
But just as he was approaching the entrance, he noticed a long trail of dragging marks on the ground and small dark red
stains.
He crouched down, sniffing the air and immediately stiffened.
It was blood!
Following the trail of blood, James reached a nearby depression, where he found two bodies discarded there.
He moved closer and saw the fatal neck wounds. It was clear that Uesugi had been here!
