“I understand.”
Zeke nodded, and after Caitlin and the others left, Felix brought out the man who had disguised himself as a crew member one of Black Hawk’s accomplices.
“This
guy tried to escape but was caught!”
The man was handcuffed and couldn’t escape from Felix’s watch.
“Take him upstairs.”
Zeke needed to return to the upper floors to clean up the mess.
On the top floor, all the guests gathered in the performance hall, murmuring anxiously, their spirits unsettled. If the cruise ship wasn’t still on the sea, they would have scattered in all directions by now.
Just as the tension was thick, Zeke and his team walked in. He climbed onto the stage and addressed the crowd.
“Guests, please quiet down!”
The crowd fell silent and turned to Zeke.
Zeke continued, “I regret to inform you that tonight, which was meant to be a celebration for SY Capital Partners, was marred by unforeseen events. A waiter was killed, and there was an explosion on the third floor. After an intensive investigation, we now have some answers.”
Zeke gestured to the door, and Felix, along with two staff members, escorted the suspect into the hall.
“Guests, I am Detective Felix. I will now share the preliminary findings regarding the incident.”
“First, the waiter found dead in the lounge was not killed by Caitlin. The actual murderer is someone else. This individual is right here with us. He is the one responsible for the explosion as well!”
Felix yanked the man’s head back by his hair, forcing him to face the crowd, letting everyone see his face.

After Zeke finished speaking, he left the performance hall, and the remaining guests continued their discussions.
Meanwhile, in the luxurious cabin, Caitlin had taken a shower, and the maid that Zeke arranged brought her a change of clothes.
When she emerged, dressed in the new clothes, Sebastian, also freshly showered, knocked on the door.
Caitlin invited him in, and the moment Sebastian entered, he immediately pressed her against the wall, his intense gaze locked on her as if he wanted to devour her completely.
“Caitlin, do you want to guess what I’m thinking right now?”
His mind was filled with the touching words Caitlin had confessed earlier. Just thinking about them made his blood race. He didn’t want to do anything else now; all he wanted was to stay close to her, never to be apart.
“Let’s talk later. My senior brother will be coming soon.”
Caitlin knew what he wanted, but she wasn’t going to let him have his way. When his head moved toward hers, she pushed him away in time.

Sebastian wasn’t in a rush anymore. Now that he knew her feelings, his heart was filled with a sense of security. He no longer felt anxious or fearful about losing her.
While they waited for Zeke, they talked about the events of the night.
“When did you run into Black Hawk?” Caitlin asked as Sebastian pulled her close.
“In the performance hall. He pretended to be a waiter and brought in the piano. When he left, he whispered ‘see you again‘ in my ear. I recognized his voice and followed him outside. I ran into the lounge and found the dead waiter there.”
“That was really lucky. He didn’t go after you.”
Sebastian held her tighter, still afraid of losing her.
“His target seemed to be you. I guessed he was out for revenge against you, so I went down to find you. On the deck, 1 found your clothes and some fabric from your shirt on the railing. We thought you had fallen into the sea. My heart… was racing with worry and sorrow…”
Caitlin leaned into his chest, listening to his steady heartbeat. She felt a sense of peace return to her heart.
“At what point did you meet him?” she asked, looking up at him.
“Same as you. During the fireworks, he tried to attack me while the noise covered him. I chased him all the way down to the lower deck. We fought for a while before he jumped into the sea. I was worried he might have other people working for him who could harm you, so I ran back to find you.”
Sebastian had been thrown off track by Black Hawk’s last words, which is why he and Caitlin had missed each other.
“I couldn’t find you on the top floor, so I came down and found that guy trying to hurt you on the third floor.”
“Luckily, you showed up in time!”
Caitlin felt relieved, but there was still some worry. “Do you think Black Hawk could have other accomplices on the ship?”
“I’ve already sent Tyler and Xavi to check. If there’s anyone else, they’ll be caught.”
Caitlin couldn’t help but feel uneasy thinking about Black Hawk jumping into the sea. “Since Black Hawk jumped into the sea voluntarily, he might not have drowned. As long as he’s still alive, we won’t have peace. I’m afraid he’ll come after you again!”

The thought of unknown danger looming close made Caitlin feel uneasy once more.
“I’ve already told my men on the shore to stay alert by the docks. If he dares to land, I won’t let him escape!”
Sebastian’s heart warmed as he felt Caitlin’s concern for him.

Just as their lips were about to meet, a knock on the door interrupted them, followed by Zeke’s voice, “Caitlin, are you ready? I’m coming in!”
