Caitlin didn’t ask further, but just as the car began to drive off, a gunshot rang out, and the car window shattered with a hole.
Sebastian immediately shielded Caitlin, pulling her into his embrace.
“This is bad!”
Xero cursed as he slammed his foot on the gas, quickly speeding away.
Behind them, three cars from Shadow Moon Pavilion’s men followed, firing at Xero’s car for cover. One of their cars was hit, its tire blown out, and it flipped into the side barrier.
There were still two cars remaining, and they engaged in an intense firefight, bullets flying.

But then, two of the cars split off, taking alternate routes to try to intercept Xero’s car. Xero drove fast, but suddenly, a car shot out of a nearby alley and sped toward them. Xero swerved the wheel just in time, narrowly avoiding a collision, sparks flying as their car brushed past the other vehicle.
That car failed to intercept Xero, but the other car continued its pursuit, nearly matching Xero’s speed,
Caitlin could see the instructor sitting in the car through the window, the gun aimed directly at Xero.
Without hesitation, Caitlin grabbed the weapon from Sebastian’s hand, almed, and fired.
One shot hit the instructor in the passenger seat.
The instructor fell, his car swerving, and in those few precious seconds, Xero managed to shake them off.
“Nice shot…” Xero grinned, visibly relieved, as Caitlin had just eliminated their immediate danger.
But the danger wasn’t over. Xero’s men were almost all wiped out, and the remaining three vehicles, driven by the instructors, were closing in

“Xero, get them to the uninhabited zone!” Sebastian shouted. “We need to take them all out!”
