Chapter 53
Bruce heard his jerk of a dad speaking that way about his mom, and couldn’t help but lift his leg to kick him.
Who dares to bully his mom? Not even his biological father is safe!
He wasn’t going to let it slide!
Caitlin quickly pulled Bruce back, signaling him to go play inside for a bit. Then she walked over and said, “I’ve been busy all day, it’s my fault, but i won’t change!”
Sebastian: “…”
Caitlin could feel the coldness and anger radiating from the man. His anger toward her had probably hit max level by now.
“Are you hungry? Want to eat the food I made? Wait here!”
Caitlin had heard from Lucy that this man had skipped two meals today. If she didn’t cook for him, he refused to eat.
“Who wants to eat your cooking?”
Sebastian still had some leftover anger in his gut. He stubbornly said he wasn’t hungry, but his stomach betrayed him with a loud “grumble.”
“You’re so hungry and still refusing to eat? If someone hears about this, they’ll think I’m starving you! Howard, come on, let’s go downstairs with Mommy.”
Before Caitlin went to cook, she called Bruce outside because she was afraid Bruce might not be able to resist punching his dad. This little guy was super protective of his mom and could totally pull something like that!
It took Caitlin about an hour to make dinner, and she brought it up, ready to take care of Sebastian’s meal.
She made a lot of food, with plenty for herself and Bruce to eat too.
Sebastian had gone without two meals. Now, with the food in front of him, he couldn’t help but swallow. Caitlin handed him his plate and utensils, saying, “I’ll serve you, you eat yourself!”
But he didn’t move.
“What do you want me to do? Can I even see it?”
The implied message was: he wasn’t going to eat on his own!
He wanted to be fed!
Caitlin wasn’t one to lose her temper easily, so she just started feeding him.
After finishing one bowl, Sebastian asked for another. Caitlin tried to stop him, saying, “It’s already ten, you shouldn’t overeat, or you’ll gain weight!”
As if he could get fat?
“I haven’t eaten for two meals. If you don’t let me eat enough, are you trying to starve me to death?”
He suddenly grabbed Caitlin, pulling her toward him and growling.
Startled, Caitlin almost dropped her bowl. She instinctively pulled back, trying to keep a safe distance, “Fine, I’ll serve you more, wait!”
So Caitlin brought another plate of food. This time, Sebastian grabbed the utensils from her, afraid she might change her mind, and started gobbling down the food. In no time, he finished the second plate.

Chapter 53
After eating two plates, Sebastian finally felt some relief in his stomach. It was as if the anger in him had lessened too.
“I want some teal”
After the meal, he made another demand, and Caitlin quickly made him a cup of tea.
Once he finished, he said, “I want to go for a walk! You push me!”
Caitlin reminded Bruce to stay inside, then pushed Sebastian’s wheelchair downstairs. When they reached the second floor landing, Caitlin said, “It’s not safe for you to go down in a wheelchair, and there’s no elevator. I’ll call someone to help.”
“Why call anyone? Just cany me down.”
Sebastian was clearly trying to make her suffer a bit. After all, this woman always bossed him around!
“Fine, I’ll carry you!”
Caitlin bent down in front of him, slightly squatting. Sebastian stretched out his hand to feel her back.
Suddenly, Caitlin felt two wandering hands. Instinctively, she stood up and snapped, “What are you doing? No need to take advantage like this!”
Sebastian scoffed, “I can’t see, how else would I know where your back is?”
Caitlin rolled her eyes, took a deep breath, and reluctantly squatted back down.
After a while of him blindly feeling around, he grabbed her neck. Caitlin pulled him up, lifting him onto her back.
But she could barely hold him for two seconds before dropping him, “You’re heavier than a pig! Forget it, I’ll call someone!”
“Argh…”
Sebastian fell to the ground. Although his legs were mostly fine now, hitting something sharp still made him wince in pain.
Before he could complain, Caitlin had already called two servants. They helped him back into his wheelchair and carried him downstairs.
Caitlin thanked them and pushed him out the door.
Sebastian’s face was as dark as the night. He’d planned to make her carry him, but it had backfired. This woman must be secretly getting back at him!
The garden outside had lights everywhere, and the night scenery looked quite beautiful.
Caitlin pushed him along the path, silent. Sebastian couldn’t help but ask, “Hey! What are you doing?”
“Walking.”
“I asked, how many men are there outside?”
Sebastian didn’t want to deal with this, but after seeing some photos sent by Yasmin to Xavi, his curiosity was piqued. The photos were from a birthday party at The Xenos Family, where Caitlin had been seen with Felix.
Xavi had told him about it, and the anger he’d managed to suppress earlier flared up again.
This woman, not only was she flirting with young men, but even married men weren’t safe from her!
“Many,” Caitlin casually replied.
“Many? How many exactly?”
Hearing that, Sebastian nearly lost it. Many?

She had many men?
Caitlin looked up at the streetlights ahead, sighing. “Well, I’d say there’s no man I can’t get, just men I don’t want.”
Sebastian: “…”
His mind was already filled with visions of a green, grassy field on top of his head.
“After the agreement is over, I won’t care about your business! But I warn you, during our agreement, you’d better behave!”
“Warnings don’t work, you have no right to interfere with me!”
Caitlin was acting tough and carefree, as always. What could he do?
“…” Sebastian was seething. Did he really want to interfere with her?
If not for that agreement, he wouldn’t care at all!
Since she was like this, there was nothing left to say. He just wanted to get better quickly, finish the agreement, and divorce her as soon as possible. Who she wanted to be with after that was none of his business!
Without realizing it, they had walked deeper into the garden. Ahead, there was a small, isolated building. Caitlin suddenly recalled the woman’s cries she had heard before, so she asked, “Sebastian, do you know who lives in that building in the back garden?”
“There’s no one living there. That building has been abandoned for many years.”
According to Sebastian, many years ago, a servant had hanged himself in that building, and after that, no one ever went near it.
“Really? The last time I ran into Marcus coming out of there. He said there’s a crazy servant living inside.”
“That, I don’t know. It was abandoned before, but maybe someone was arranged to stay there later.”
Sebastian paused for a moment before saying, “You seem to know a lot about The Vanderbilt Family. How much do you really know?”
“A bit.”
“You’ve heard the saying, the more you know, the more dangerous it gets, right?”
“I know, but I’m just curious. What’s the secret of The Vanderbilt Family? Like, why did your mother disappear 18 years ago? Where did she go?”
“If she’s still alive, why hasn’t she come back to see you? What really happened back then?”
