“Would the White family business have skyrocketed without your touch? Could they have shifted from some no–name town to a big city! Without your silent support, Zachary could never become a big shot on the outskirts of the capital. That guy wouldn’t know business if it smacked him in the face! Rich? Ha, in his dreams!” Charlene’s voice rose in anger.
She paused for a moment before continuing. “Thanks to his business brain freeze, he keeps dragging you into mess after mess, making you fix his blunders. With your skills, you’d be ruling the roost! What even is his job? Pathetic that all these years, you haven’t stashed anything for yourself.”
Yvonne shrugged indifferently. “Who cares? Making money is a piece of cake.”
I just feel sorry for you. From childhood onwards, they tossed you to Sienna, barely a visit back home. And when Muriel popped up, they kicked you out immediately. They’ve got no shame! Charlene cursed.
“Forget them. Watch over the Heartwell Grass for me. One piece won’t cut it Yvonne steered the conversation. “Keep tabs on the upcoming auctions and hit me up pronto if there’s news.
“Got it.” replied Charlene
After a few more exchanges, they hung up.
Just then, Yvonne’s phone buzzed a few times. She checked and found the messages were from Daniel Wilson, one of her subordinates.
[Hey Boss! Urgent!]
[We got a big spender asking for a hundred pieces of clothing, a hundred bags, and a hundred pairs of shoes for his daughter, demanding delivery today.]
[I sent him all our limited edition stock from the warehouse! Now it’s empty!]
[When can you sketch up something for me?]
Urgent! Urgent! Urgent!]
Yvonne’s slender fingers tapped out a quick reply: [Few days, that cool?
Daniel: [OK, I’ll be waiting for your message. I’m heading to the rich dude’s place right now. I’ll see what his daughter looks like later. Hope she’s not a total fashion disaster to wreck your stuff.]
Yvonne raised an eyebrow. [You’re delivering in person!]
Daniel: [With an order this big, gotta step up the service, right?
Yvonne set down her phone, musing, “What kind of family drops that much cash on clothes, shoes, and bags all at once? Starting a boutique or what?]
At this moment, a fancy RV pulled up at the Lynch residence. Kevin quickly made his way over, opening the door with at bow. “Ms. Samantha Lynch, back from your summer break? Your return brightens up this place with joy and laughter all around”
Samantha emerged from the vehicle. She had tender skin, slim figure and delicate features catching everyone’s eye. Her bangs swept back, revealing a lovely forehead, while her confider eyes shone brightly. Servants bustled to carry her bags as
Kevin trailed behind her.
“Didn’t want to bother you having SAT. Now that you’re done with the exams and back from your trip abroad with your bestie, I finally have the chance to chat with you, Kevin whispered.

“What’s up?” Samantha wasnt a beauty, but growing up in luxury oozed an air of wealth. Her voice carried a tinge of snobby grandeur. Decked in a fluffy dress, her sdesigner accessories and jewelry gave off a glammed–up vibe–a beautiful product of luxury living and skincare pampering.
“It’s just that…” Kevin began.
But before he could finish, Samantha noticed around ten strangers in the garden. They were hanging up loads of pretty clothes and bags on racks, prepping to bring them indoors. Some servants were busy inflating balloons, stringing lights on trees, even Mary joined in the hustle.
Mary almost could be considered Samantha’s “exclusive servant After Cherry had a tough time with her five sons, dealing with low milk supply and energy, it was Mary who stepped in to handle all of Samantha’s needs–from feeding to putting her to bed. Among the staff, Mary held a special status, with her primary duty being to take care of Samantha, their bond close like mother and daughter.
Samantha beamed. “Mary!”
“Welcome home, Ms. Samantha Lynch. Mary smiled and rushed over. “So good to see you finally. You insisted on staying in those dorms. Just look at you now, all skin and bones!”
“You are slimming down too. Were you missing me that much? Samantha teased playfully.
“You cheeky one!” Mary chuckled as she took Samantha in again, Not too bad. Lost some weight, but you’re glowing event
more!”
“What’s this, a surprise from Dad and Mom? Samantha beamed as she looked at the bustling crowd.
She thought to herself. “Are they trying to spoil me now that I’ve survived the brutal SAT? Or is it because they think I’m all grown up since finishing school and deserve some fancy ceremony? I love this. What girl wouldn’t love stylish clothes, shoes, and bags–especially with all these limited–edition goodies. Dad and Mom really know how to treat me! Even with five older brothers, they never skimp on the attention they give me.
Mary felt a bit uneasy at Samantha’s words.
“I’ll go check it out,” Samantha said excitedly
But Mary quickly interjected, “Ms. Samantha Lynch, those things aren’t meant for you. She exchanged a glance with Kevin. They didn’t want to upset the well–cared–for girl. But Mary was the one with the authority to relay the message.
“Mary, I get it. You guys probably didn’t expect me to be back so soon on my bestie’s plane. I know you’re not done setting up. It’s okay. I’ll act like I didn’t see a thing. You all can keep busy. I won’t spoil the surprise,” said Samantha.
“Ms. Samantha Lynch… Mary hesitated.
Samantha strolled into the house, thinking. T’m the only girl in the family, so these surprises were only for me. Surely, Dad and Mom must be aiming to delight me, and these servants wouldn’t dare admit it. Just understandable, right?”
She then entered the main hall, greeted by perfectly arranged rows of display racks. Every dress, every bag seemed tailor- made for her. As she strolled through the racks, a surge of joy swept through her.
Mary wanted to explain but seeing Samantha’s gleeful face, she couldn’t bear to burst her bubble.
Inside the room, Yvonne had just wrapped up her work and was getting ready to unwind when a knock sounded on the
door.
