Chapter 46
But to Wade’s surprise, one summer, Sienna asked Yvonne to find Wade with this ring, wanting him to teach her a skill.
He was a business genius and had many influential and talented friends.
Because of Sienna, Wade never married. He treated Yvonne like she was his granddaughter. He taught her how to do business and his friends taught Yvonne things about medicine. Some of his friends who were good at music, chess, and painting also adored Yvonne, teaching her everything they knew
Yvonne lived up to their expectations, surpassing her mentors.
Yvonne spent her summer breaks and winter breaks with this group of old men. She owed all her achievements to them.
“When will you graduate from college? It’s time for you to start shouldering some of my responsibilities!” Wade felt like he was getting old. “I have no children so you’ll be the sole heir.”
Yvonne said, “No way.” She was too busy. She wouldn’t have any time to manage Yosef’s company.
Wade laughed cheerfully, “You are my only family in the world. If I don’t give my business to you, who else can I give it to?”
Yvonne said, “I know you miss Grandma. Why not move back to your home country?”
His business abroad was stable anyway. If he settled down in Betrico, he could see Sienna more frequently.
Wade smiled sadly, “It wouldn’t look good.”
No one knew what was between him and Sienna, not even Zachary. Zachary didn’t know his mother knew such a successful businessman.
Wade said, “Your grandpa died young. He loved your grandma. I can’t be with your grandma after his death.”
Yvonne was at a loss for words.
Wade added, “I am happy that I know how she’s doing.” He didn’t ask for much. What comforted him more was Yvonne, who became an excellent person after a lot of training. He even thought she should be beyond his successor.
The car stopped at the Betrico Lake. Yvonne opened the door of the car and helped Wade get out. “I told you no more overwork when you were younger but you didn’t listen to me.”
Now, Wade was old and couldn’t even walk steadily.
Wade laughed, feeling satisfied with her help. “After I die, I will leave you a lot of things. I think all these years of hard work were worth it.”
“You worked hard because of Grandma. What’s it got to do with me?” Yvonne helped him walk as they walked slowly forward. “You’re not getting any younger. You should take a break.”
Wade said, “No, no, there is still something that I need to do for you before I die.”
At this moment, Muriel, holding Yanis’ hand, exclaimed, “Yanis, isn’t the person over there Yvonne?”
She was in a store selling wedding dresses across from Betrico Lake with Yanis. When they stepped out of the store, she saw Yvonne holding an old man’s hand, carefully helping him go into the restaurant.
Yanis frowned, “That man is so old. Does she not find it disgusting?” He couldn’t believe Yvonne had stooped to this just to

stay in Betrico. He felt disgusted.
Muriel recalled seeing Yvonne with another man walking out of the VIP elevator at Starry Sky Restaurant last night. She wondered if Yvonne was dating several men at the same time and if the man last night was really her brother.
Muriel thought it was something to be happy about anyway.
Christopher, inside a car, stared at Yvonne, who was holding an old man’s hand, and couldn’t look away from her.
The pair of hands that he once held were now supporting someone else.
Marty asked, “Mr. Sanchez, I find that old man’s face familiar.”
Marty racked his mind and suddenly remembered something. He said, “He’s Wade, the head of the Moon Group, a famous venture capital firm abroad!”
The Moon Group was even bigger than Vanguard Capital. Wade started from a small business. He shifted to venture capital when he had enough money. He was sharp and smart. Every project that he invested in succeeded. Over the past few decades, he had invested in multiple industries and accumulated tremendous wealth!
Marty thought, ‘No wonder I’ve never seen his license plate. He lives abroad.
Marty couldn’t help but say, “Ms. Lynch has a wide network.”
After all, not only did the director of Betrico Hospital speak highly of her but also those experts in medicine. Her dad was the richest man and now it seemed she was close to Wade too.
Christopher stared at Yvonne’s hands. He wondered why she was still holding his hand. He thought, ‘Enough!”
Watching them enter the elevator, Christopher said, with his eyes darkening, “Find out which private room they are dining in.”
Marty said, “Mr. Sanchez, are you going to join them?” The moment he finished speaking, he sensed that his boss was displeased. He thought about it for a moment and figured it out.

Marty said, “Mr. Sanchez, I’ve asked the restaurant’s manager. Ms. Lynch is dining in a private room on the south side of the second floor. There’s another restaurant right across the south side. Why don’t we eat there? You wouldn’t want to disturb Ms. Lynch and her friend.”
Christopher said, “Okay.” He looked away from Yvonne but all he thought about was her soft little hands.
Yvonne helped Wade walk into the private room and handed him the gift. “They are for you.”
Wade said, “My birthday gift?” He found there were seven or eight sets of clothes, including daywear and pajamas. He was happy and satisfied. “You made the, yourself?”
Yvonne said, “Yeah.”
Wade said, “I love wearing the clothes that you made for me! They all look chic and feel so soft!”
The outfit that Wade was wearing now was made by her last year. It hadn’t lost its shape. He said, “This is a great gift! Thank you!”
In a private room, Marty said, “Mr. Sanchez, all the dishes are served. We can start eating now.” He noticed that Christopher’s eyes were fixed on the girl in the opposite room. He couldn’t help teasing him. “This room has a great view!”
Christopher could see what Yvonne was doing clearly.

Christopher said, “Eat your-food.” He saw Yvonne give a gift to the old man, pour him a cup of water, and even help him with the salad. He wondered why she didn’t do these things to him last night!
“Mr. Sanchez, I’ll start then.” Marty said as he picked up his bowl and started to eat the food heartily, “So tasty!”
He was hungry, having been busy with Mr. Sanchez all morning
“Jeez, I forgot something.” Wade suddenly realized that he had forgotten to bring something with him. “It’s your grandma’s birthday in two weeks. I have a gift for her. Go to my hotel room with me later. Remember, don’t tell her it’s from me like you always do.”
“Okay.” Yvonne put a bowl of soup in front of him. “How long are you going to stay here this time?”
Wade said, “I’ll be leaving this afternoon.”
Yvonne said, “So soon?”
Wade said, “I’ve always been a loner anyway.”
Yvonne saw a hint of loneliness in his eyes and said softly, “If you want to see Grandma, I can arrange everything for you.” Wade became a bit excited. But after thinking about it for a while, he still feared it might not look good. There were all kinds of people in the hospitals. He didn’t want the younger generation to hear anything close to an embarrassing scandal.
Instead of worrying about his reputation, he worried about Sienna’s reputation, even though there was nothing improper between them. They had done nothing wrong
“I can ask Yaron to take you there tonight.” Yvonne said calmly, sipping at the soup, “Don’t worry, Grandma won’t wake up at night.”
“But,” Wade thought about it for a moment and then firmly shook his head. “I’m afraid that I wouldn’t want to leave her again.”
Yvonne froze for a moment and looked into Wade’s eyes.
Wade said, “Actually, it’s better this way. Come with me to my hotel room to get my gift for your grandma.”
Although he couldn’t be with her, at least there would be something from him that kept her company.
