“What?” Zachary thought he had misheard her.
Melanie said arrogantly, “The Simons family and the Chambers family said that whoever dared to help would end up badly”
Melanie would never sacrifice the Khan family for her son’s romance and the embarrassing engagement.
Muriel didn’t expect Melanie to give her a firm no. She clenched her fists under the table and thought, ‘She’s clearly humiliating us!
Yanis stopped Melanie in a low voice, ‘Mom‘
Hendrick tried to smooth things over. “We need to think this through. Let’s enjoy the meal first. The food is getting cold.”
“You’re right.” Zachary, being worldly, raised his glass and toasted to Hendrick. “I almost forgot to thank you for getting Muriel’s grandma a VIP ward and asking the doctor to take care of her.”
Hearing that, Hendrick looked confused. “What are you talking about? With our family’s resources, it’s impossible to get a VIP room at Betrico Hospital. We don’t have any connections there.”
The White family was stunned, thinking, ‘Who was it then? Who told the doctor to take good care of Sienna Suddenly, what Yaron said before occurred to Zachary and Ada. They thought, ‘Could it be Yvonne? No way!‘
Yvonne had just finished dinner with her parents. Just as she was about to leave, her phone rang. It seemed that someone was looking for her. “You go first, Dad, Mom. I’m going to the bathroom and I’ll be right back.”
“Sure. Take your time!” Seeing her leave, Cherry whispered to Lily, “I want you to wait for her and keep her company.”
“Sure, Mrs. Lynch.” Lily waited in the private room. Seeing Yvonne come out of the bathroom, she came over and said respectfully, “Mr. and Mrs. Lynch are waiting for you outside, Ms. Lynch!”
“Alright, let’s go,” Yvonne replied while typing on her phone, slowly moving forward.
Shortly after she left the private room, she bumped into several people. Lily clutched her clothes and said, “Watch out, Ms. Lynch!”
The people who came out were the Khan family and the White family.
Ada was stunned when she saw Yvonne coming out of the fancy private room and heard the well–dressed servant call her Ms. Lynch.
“Wait…” Ada couldn’t believe what she just heard. She pointed at Yvonne and asked Lily, “What did you just call her? Is she your young lady?”
“Who are you?” Lily sensed their hostility and became very wary
She thought, ‘Does how I address Ms. Lynch have anything to do with you guys?‘
Muriel was also shocked, but she tried to keep cool and explained, “Yvonne grew up in our family.”
“I see. Are you Ms. Lynch’s foster parents?” Lily suddenly realized something. Since she had no idea how the White family abused Yvonne before, she said politely, “Mr. and Mrs. Lynch were curious why you didn’t take those gifts and the 1 billion dollars…”
“W–What? What did you just say?” Ada was so surprised that she thought she misheard.

Lily said, “The gifts the drives brought you the other day! They were from Mr. and Mrs. Lynch. The thirty shops are all located in the most bustling part of downtown, and the thirty villas are all located in beautiful places. And the 1 billion dollars…”
Both the White family and the Khan family were stunned, having no idea what Lily was talking about.
Lily continued, “Mr. and Mrs. Lynch also prepared some rare supplements for you, but you didn’t accept any of them. You don’t have to be so polite.”
Ada felt extremely astonished when she heard that. She didn’t expect that there would be so many luxury items in those gift boxes. She thought, ‘Why didn’t the driver tell us about it? Wait. Aren’t Yvonne’s biological parents peasants? How come they appear richer than us?‘
She stammered, “Aren’t Mr. and Mrs. Lynch living in Eden County?”
“They were born there, but they’re living in…” Before Lily could finish her words, Yvonne interrupted her. “Let’s go. No need to waste time with them.”
Lily glanced at Yvonne’s stern face and realized that she didn’t seem to like them.
‘Didn’t they get along well before?‘ Lily thought. With this suspicion, she changed her attitude towards them and followed Yvonne out
“Wait. I have something to ask you…” While Ada was running after them, she saw Luke, who brought them gifts last time, bend to open the car door for Yvonne..
It was a green stretch luxury car that was just reported in the news a few days ago. It was said to be a one–of–a–kind Rolls- Royce made for a wealthy person, worth 100 million dollars.
Before Ada could see the people in the car, it left quickly. The White family and the Khan family stood still, too shocked to
react.
They noticed that Lily’s outfit was worth a total of 1.5 thousand dollars.
They were curious about which family could afford such a luxury car.
Ada didn’t dare to think about it and neither did Zachary.
“You’re penny wise and pound foolish, Mrs. White. You’ll never know what you missed.” After saying that, Melanie smiled and left in her high heels.
“I’m so sorry, Mrs. Khan. My wife wasn’t in a good mood today. We’ll talk about it next time.” Hendrick grabbed Yanis‘ arm and said apologetically. “See you!”
The White family was upset, but mainly because of Yvonne, not Melanie. They said goodbye to her and went home quickly.
Meanwhile, in the stretch luxury car, Cherry asked with concern, “Are you having a stomachache, Yvonne? Was it the food
or…”
Samantha said, “Yvonne might rarely eat such expensive food. She’ll get used to it
Hearing Samantha’s words, Lily explained immediately, “We came back late because we bumped into Ms. Lynch’s foster parents, Mrs. Lynch.”
