Stephanie: “Did I say something wrong? You didn’t forget, right? You gave me a card with a 6000 dollar monthly limit. Tak, tsk, the Hart family sure has a lot of money.”
Catlin: “…
Hearing Stephanie’s sarcastic tone, Catlin was so angry she nearly lost her breath.
“So, you think it’s not enough?”
She gritted out.
Her tone was full of venom, implying she thought Stephanie was being greedy.
Stephanie: “It seems you still don’t understand what the Hart family is going through or why it’s happening”
The words “going through” were emphasized with a heavy tone.
It immediately reminded Catlin of the phone call she had received earlier from Chad.
The loss of two major partnerships flashed through her mind, making her face turn pale with shock.
“You… is the man who called your father really behind this?”
Stephanie: “If you want to figure it out, then we should end our relationship here. What do you think?”
Her tone sounded like she was just making a suggestion.
But it carried an undeniable threat.
Catlin felt a surge of dread. She was being threatened… Stephanie was threatening her. How dare she? Where did she get the courage and qualification to do so?
Stephanie: “Take your time to think about it. I’m hanging up now.”
“Wait.”
Just as Stephanie was about to hang up, Catlin urgently called out to her.
It was already hard enough to get in touch with her, and now that they had managed to establish some communication, she needed to clarify a few things.
“What’s your relationship with that man?”
“Looks like you still haven’t figured out what’s your position.”
Catlin: “…
At those words, her chest tightened.
Before she could speak, Stephanie had already hung up the phone.
The sound of the call ending made Catlin so furious she nearly smashed the phone.
What position?
She hadn’t figured out her own position?

Chapter 78
What position is Stephanie in?
Position?
She is her mother!
“Mom, Mom! stop!”
Seeing her mother about to smash the phone, Olivia quickly grabbed her hand. “Don’t.”
This phone was borrowed.
Now, getting through to Stephanie was difficult. Their numbers had probably been blacklisted by her.
Earlier, she had received several calls, and she had blacklisted two nurses‘ numbers as well.
What was she doing now?
If anyone had heard their voices, she would mercilessly blacklist them, leaving no room for them.
Catlin held back her anger and tried to calm down. “This is too much, just too much.”
Her own daughter was making her figure out her place in front of her.
So, she was serious about cutting ties with her family?
Catlin hadn’t expected that turning off Stephanie’s card would provoke such a strong reaction from her.

“Mom, don’t be mad,”
Olivia weakly advised.
-Seeing Olivia’s gentle demeanor, Catlin felt a slight sense of comfort.
After all, she was raised by her side. Her nature was just good.
“I’m not mad, I’m not mad. If she wants to cut ties, let her. I don’t need a daughter like that.”
Catlin’s tone was filled with disappointment toward Stephanie.
“She thinks that because she can earn two million dollars a year from some man, she’ll always be able to make that much every year?”
“That’s not going to work, Mom. Don’t you really want her to ruin herself?”
Olivia spoke with sadness.
Catlin: “What can we do?”
“I’ll talk to Chris. I’ll make sure he screens the partners he introduces to her in the future, so she doesn’t get involved with those shady companies.”
In plain terms, she intended to block Stephanie’s studio’s opportunities.
Olivia silently thought to herself that she couldn’t let anyone start to see this as one of Stephanie’s strengths.
Sure enough, her words about “shady companies” once again fueled Catlin’s rage.
