Chapter 79
“You’re right, we absolutely can’t let her associate with those shady companies,” Catlin said.
Severing ties was one thing, but even if they did cut ties, it would still be a disgrace to the Hart family.
After all, she had been recognized by the Hart family for two years…
Catlin suppressed her anger and pulled Olivia’s hand. “Then you make sure to talk to Chris about it, okay?”
Olivia nodded: “Okay.”
Catlin: “If possible, cut off all cooperation and shut down that studio.”
She felt that as long as that studio existed, it would eventually cause trouble.
This time, Stephanie dared to use the money from that studio and act so defiant towards her.
Who knows what kind of things she would do with that studio in the future?
Olivia, hearing Catlin’s words, felt a surge of satisfaction inside her.
On the outside, she feigned concern: “But if we do that, she’ll probably make a scene, won’t she?”
“Let her make a scene! Hasn’t she made enough of a scene already?”
Catlin replied irritably.
She could make a scene, but it was all because she had that studio.
Without it, what could she use to make a scene?
At this thought, Catlin was even more convinced that shutting it down was the right thing to do.
“Better than having her embarrass the entire Hart family later.”
“You’re right.”
Olivia nodded.
“Then I’ll go talk to Chris.”
Seeing Olivia still supporting her, Catlin felt somewhat comforted.
Thinking back to how Stephanie cursed Olivia over the phone, she had just overheard that comment about “ashes” earlier.
Catlin patted Olivia’s hand sympathetically. “Sigh, having such an ungrateful daughter, it’s really exhausting. If only she were as obedient as you.”
The disobedient one made her angry, while the obedient one made her heart ache.
“I heard that Chris is trying to buy the land at Shallow Bay Area to get a place for you to recuperate. He’s been so good to you. But the Ashford family…”
She didn’t even want to mention the Ashford family. Whenever she did, she couldn’t help but feel how ruthless they were.
They had broken apart two lovers who were meant to be together.

Chapter 79
If Olivia had been with Chris, everything would have been fine by now.
Now, despite all the turmoil, their biological daughter hadn’t even entered the Ashford family, and the Ashford family wouldn’t accept the adopted daughter either.
All of this was Stephanie’s fault. That useless girl.
And now, the Ashford family was putting pressure on their company. This, too, was all caused by Stephanic.
“Mom, with my health like this, I’m already content that Chris is still taking care of me,” Olivia said softly.
“You’ve really suffered, my dear. If only we hadn’t gone to find Stephanie back then, the Ashford family wouldn’t have known you were adopted. You and Chris would’ve already been married and together by now.”
“Stop saying that. She is your biological daughter, and it was right for you to find her.”
Every word she said was so sensible that it made Catlin’s heart ache even more.
Stephanie didn’t deserve it. With Olivia’s understanding, she was already content.
“You are such a good girl.”
Catlin felt even more heartbroken for Olivia.
After chatting for a while, Chris arrived. He had brought some food that was suitable for Olivia to eat.
When Catlin saw him, she tactfully gave the two of them space.
At this point, she could no longer rely on Stephanie. Even if the Ashford family didn’t like Olivia and wasn’t happy with her, Catlin wasn’t afraid.
After all, there was still Chris. If the Ashford family wanted to cause trouble with the Hart family, they’d have to first deal with Chris.
It was just Chris and Olivia now.
