Chapter 81
Chapter 81
Stephanie thought, she absolutely had to have Jennifer get her a work phone to separate things out.
Otherwise, these people would never leave her alone.
Chris growled on the phone: “You have a studio? How come I didn’t know about this?”
“What’s it to you? Should I report to you every time I start a new project?”
Wasn’t it clear enough what had been going on these past few days?
Had she been too soft in the past, allowing these people to question her every time?
It was-
Getting so tiresome.
“How many more things are you hiding from me?”
“Do I need to hide anything from you? What does my business have to do with you? Is Olivia’s illness not serious enough already?”
“She has three types of cancer now, and you still aren’t rushing to help her find a good grave? Why are you constantly coming after me?”
Chris completely lost his temper: “Stephanie!”
Especially when she mentioned ‘grave‘–everyone who was on Olivia’s side hated hearing the word.
This is a completely malicious curse.
Stephanie: “What are you yelling for?”
Chris: “Just you wait.”
He ended the call with a harsh tone.
Stephanie heard the busy signal on the other end and clicked her tongue in annoyance.
She could wait. She was curious to see what other tricks Chris would pull now.

Chris was truly furious.
After finding out about Stephanie’s studio and then learning that she made so much money last year, his face turned green with anger.
He took a deep drag from the cigarette in his hand and growled, “Tell me, doesn’t it feel like we’re a joke right now?”
Sitting in the passenger seat, Kevin broke out in cold sweat when he heard this.
He had to admit-
It really was a joke!
Chris and the Hart family had cut off Stephanie’s financial resources, thinking it would force her to bow to them.

Chapter 81
They even had most of the tenants of Cloudridge Valley pegged for when they’d be paying rent.
They just thought that when Stephanie was faced with the high rent, she would eventually have no choice but to give in.
But then…
It turned out she owned the property in Cloudridge Valley, and last year, she earned over two million dollars,
She got both money and property–cutting off her finances was simply laughable.
Kevin hesitated, but finally spoke. “To be honest, Mr. Ashford. You still don’t really understand Miss Giovanni”
Chris found this statement even more ironic.
Stephanie had been his fiancée for two years, and he still didn’t really know her.
Thinking back to her lies, Chris instantly lost his composure.
“Handle it.”
“Handle what?”
“Anyone who dares to cooperate with her studio will be considered as going against the Ashford family.”
Kevin hesitated. “But…”
This is not good, is it?
“I want her studio to be completely collapsed within a week.”
Chris snapped, giving Kevin no chance to speak.
“But the man behind her…” Sweat beaded on Kevin’s forehead.
Kevin didn’t dare to finish his sentence.
If Stephanie really had a powerful figure backing her up, it was clear they couldn’t just suppress her.
Chris’s eyes narrowed dangerously. “I want to see who that guy behind her is.”
That guy?
Since they couldn’t figure out who he was, they might as well see who would step in to help her this time.
Kevin understood what Chris meant and nodded. “Got it.”
The news about Stephanie’s studio spread throughout the entire Hart family.
Especially after it was revealed that the property in Cloudridge Valley was also hers. That news was a bombshell.
At the hospital.
“Tell me, what exactly has she been hiding from us?”
Catlin was pacing back and forth in the hospital room, furious.
Chad had come over.
And so had Tyler.

Chris had been called away by a phone call from her mother.
After learning the full story, Chad’s face was as dark as a storm cloud, without an ounce of warmth.
