Chapter 55 Fantasy Lounge
Chapter 55 Fantasy Lounge
“Phoenix, did you really just waste all that prize money?” Lachlan asked, trying to keep his voice calm.
Sam smacked Lachlan on the back of the head. “Are you nuts? Didn’t Phoenix say she bought a league spot and got investors too?”
Honestly, these guys probably didn’t have as much money as that spot was worth.
Lachlan groaned, holding his head and glaring at his bottom–lane partner. “I’m just shocked. I knew our captain was from a rich family, but nobody told me Azalea could pull this off.”
“Don’t sweat it. Money isn’t a problem,” Azalea said calmly, explaining everything. “The contracts are being drawn up now. You’ll have them by tomorrow at the latest. Once you sign, the payments will go straight to your accounts.”
They’d been through a lot–training, competing, and winning–and they really trusted each other.
“Well, boss, we’ll count on you!” The mood lifted instantly.
Azalea gave a real smile. “Don’t just count on me. It all depends on how you perform.”
Laughter and chatter filled the room, except for Riley, who stayed quiet.
When it was time to leave, Riley was the first to say no to Lachlan’s offer to hit a karaoke bar. “Not tonight. I’ve got stuff to do.”
She flagged down a cab and took off.
Azalea watched her go, narrowing her eyes. Riley lived in the urban village, but the cab was heading the
wrong way.
“I’m not going either.” Azalea got a ride and told the driver to follow.
Cassius had just walked in when a glass came flying at him. He ducked, and it shattered at his feet.
Rubbing his head, Cassius sighed. “Mom, what’s going on?”
“What’s going on?” Ivy’s face was furious, her eyes burning. “I should ask you that! You’ve been bullying Sydney behind our backs, Cassius. You’re really stepping over the line!”
Cassius felt a knot in his throat, confused. Bullying Sydney? When did I do that? Does not helping her the same as bullying her? Is it really necessary to call me home for this? Can’t it wait?
Their deal with Lennox Group fell apart after he and Wesley barged into Ashbourne Villa. Now Lennox Group was clearly trying to hold them back. Just as things were improving, Ivy’s anger threatened to mess it all up again.
“Mom…” He wanted to ask her to be reasonable.
“I don’t care about your plans! Get that mess online cleaned up now!” Ivy was furious and wouldn’t listen to

any protests.
Her stubbornness made Cassius’s frustration boil over, but no matter how mad he was, he held it in.
It felt suffocating. No matter what he said, no one cared. Ivy only wanted her own way.
Then a thought hit him hard. Isn’t this exactly what Azalea faced at the Larks? No matter what she said, no one cared. We just wanted to see the outcome we wanted.
No, Azalea’s situation was worse. At least Mom is only complaining to me. Azalea faced our whole family’s full scorn and beating!
A heavy weight pressed on him as Ivy snapped again, “Did you hear me?”
Cassius snapped back, “Yeah, yeah. I’ll fix the online stuff.” Without another word, he turned and left the Larks‘ residence.
Ivy’s face twisted with anger. “Everyone’s ready to rebel, it seems!”
Fantasy Lounge?
Azalea stopped outside the neon sign. A nightclub? What is Reiley doing here?
She knew this place–it was one of Draywick’s most famous clubs. Rumor said a rich heir ran it just for fun, and it was strictly members only. Most people couldn’t get in.
She’d been here once before with Skyler–when he had gotten into a fight with the family and she tried to get him to go home. Instead, he brought her here.
That night, she got so drunk she ended up in the hospital with a stomach injury. Even then, it was Sydney’s simple words-“Skyler, let’s go home“-that made a difference.
And then came the paparazzi photos from her hospital stay, which made Skyler mad enough to scold her in the ward.
After recollecting herself, Azalea messaged Wylie and used his influence to get inside.
It wasn’t night yet, but the Fantasy Lounge was already packed. Rich people don’t need to follow office hours; if they want to party, they show up.
Azalea followed Riley through the crowd as she weaved in and disappeared. Worried, Azalea hurried to catch up.
Unseen by her, two others slipped in behind her–one with a devil–may–care attitude, the other cold and aristocratic.
