Turner’s eyes lit up. He turned to the group of people surrounding him and said, “I heard Miller and Gray are here. Excuse me, everyone, please carry on without me.”

“Actually, no. To be precise, I’m more interested in Maggie. I think she might be even more impressive.”
With that, he gave a brief farewell and walked straight toward Miller and Gray.
Left behind, Julia’s face darkened slightly from the blatant disregard.
Sophia was visibly annoyed. “What’s with that guy? Isn’t he friends with Smith? Why would he-”
Julia cut her off. “Enough.”
Noticing her unpleasant expression, Sophia didn’t dare say more.
Meanwhile, Turner walked up to Maggie and quickly introduced himself. “I’ve read your paper several times. It’s absolutely fascinating.”
After a brief handshake, Maggie replied, “You’re too kind, Mr. Turner.”
Her paper had only been published recently, but top AI conference organizers overseas had already sent her multiple invitations. She declined them all.
Since Maggie wouldn’t travel, Turner had no choice but to fly here himself.
