Chapter 321
Sophia shot a glance at Maggie and loudly replied, “My brother–in–law just got back from his trip. He’s here to pick up my sister!”
Mr. Lewis laughed. “So it’s a public display of affection.”
Seeing Maggie and Johnny, Franklin gave a polite nod.
They didn’t respond–only nodded curtly.
Johnny then turned to Mr. Lewis. “We’ll be heading out first. Mr. Lewis.”
“Alright. Let’s get together again sometime.”
Maggie and Johnny nodded and left without another word.
In the car, Johnny initially wanted to vent, but thinking about how Maggie was already divorcing Franklin, he figured it wasn’t worth it and stayed silent.
Just then, Maggie’s phone rang.
It was Jimmy calling.
She looked at the screen, thought for a moment, and didn’t answer.
Johnny noticed and couldn’t help but say, “Jimmy’s a great guy. You’re about to be divorced. Are you really not going to consider giving him a chance?”
Maggie set the phone down and shook her head. “I don’t have feelings for him. If I agreed just to give it a shot, it’d be irresponsible.”
“But you won’t know unless you try. Just because you don’t like him now doesn’t mean you won’t like him later.”
“If I end up liking him someday, then I’ll consider it then.”
“…Fine.”
That afternoon, Maggie and Glen were in the office discussing work when a knock came from the door.
“Miss Miller, Lawyer is here.”
“Got it.”
Turning to Glen, she said, “I’ve got some personal matters to deal with. You can go back to work.”

Glen glanced at Paul and his assistant, nodded, and left.
Paul and his assistant cach carried a briefcase.
After Secretary Quinn closed the door behind them, they began laying out and checking all the documents one by
one.
Once the paperwork was confirmed and handed over, Paul added,
“Right, Mr. Wilson asked me to pass on a message–if you don’t want to deal with company management or decision–making and would rather sell your shares, he’s willing to be the buyer.”
Maggie replied calmly, “Got it.”
After that, Paul didn’t linger and quickly left.
Maggie glanced at the boxes full of documents, then pushed them aside and went back to work.
Half an hour later, Johnny stopped by.
Just as he walked in and was about to speak, he noticed the boxes at her feet.
“Huh? What are those?”
“The property documents from the divorce agreement.”
“All of them? The real estate alone must be worth over ten billion. According to the agreement, he had two years to handle it all, and you’re not even officially divorced yet–but he’s already done everything?”
“Mm. Nothing’s missing.”
Johnny let out a couple of dry chuckles. “He sure is in a hurry.”
No wonder Franklin had recently reached out to finalize the divorce.
“And the cash? That came through too?”
“Yeah. This morning.”
“Pfft.”
Franklin’s decisiveness left a complicated feeling in Johnny’s chest–even knowing Maggie had moved on, he still
felt bitter on her behalf.
After a pause, he sneered,
“You two aren’t even officially divorced yet, and he’s already handed everything over. Isn’t he worried you’ll back

out?”
“I don’t know.”
Ever since she asked for the divorce last year, Maggie had only been waiting for it to conclude.
She never looked back–not even once.
Johnny paused, then suddenly said, “You know… if he’s doing all this so quickly, maybe, in some way, he actually trusts you?”
Trust?
Their entire relationship had started because of a mistake that night.
And even now, he believed she had set him up.
If, in his eyes, she was that scheming and shameless–how could there be any trust?
Johnny remembered that too. “Okay… forget I said anything
Maggie changed the subject. “So, what did you come by for?”
“Our company’s anniversary banquet is coming up. I wanted to go over the event planning with you.”
It was the 10th anniversary of their company.
Given how far Cole had come–and how significant this year was–they had to make it special.
They got to talking about work.
Right now, the collaboration between Cole and Wilson Corporation was well–known in the industry.
Before leaving, Johnny added, “We’ll definitely need to invite Wilson Corporation to the celebration.”
Maggie simply replied, “It’s fine.”
