Leo looked at Julia in surprise, “So Miss Brown, you’re that capable?
Julia replied, “No, it’s the engineers‘ credit. Most of them were already here before I took over. The company’s current success is indeed, as you said, closely related to Franklin, not so much to me.”
Leo smiled, “Miss Brown, you’re very modest.”
At first, knowing that fulia had built her career relying on Franklin’s support, he did think she wasn’t outstanding and didn’t quite match Franklin.
But hearing their mutual support just now, Leo suddenly felt that Franklin must see Julia as an expert in AI, more specialized than himself in that field. That’s why he trusted her with running the company, believing it would develop better under her.
After all, Franklin was indeed generous and humble–this was something he would do.
Julia heard this and quickly deflected, “It’s really not modesty…”
After a while, they ended the topic and moved on to chat about amusing events that happened back in Country A.
They had all studied in Country A, so they actually had many common topics. Plus, Julia was naturally good at socializing. Even though it was their first meeting today, the dinner conversation was relaxed and enjoyable.
Sometimes, Julia and Leo even talked more than Leo and Franklin did.
Leo was visiting his home country with his father for business and would leave tomorrow.
After dinner, he had other plans and was ready to leave.
Before leaving, he shook hands with Julia and said, “Miss Brown, it was a pleasure meeting you today. You’re an interesting and charming woman.”
Then he looked at Franklin and hesitated, seeming like he wanted to say something more. But before he could, Julia politely interrupted, “Edwards, you flatter me.”
After bidding farewell, Leo waved goodbye and was about to get into his car when he saw Maggie and Johnny coming out after dining with their partners.
Leo didn’t know Johnny and the others but recognized Maggie.
Surprised, he pointed at Maggie and said to Franklin, “That lady, isn’t she-”

Maggie noticed Leo pointing at her, apparently recognizing her. She originally had no intention to pay much attention to Franklin’s acquaintances, but when she looked away, she suddenly recalled Leo.
They only met once years ago.
Back then, she knew Leo was a close friend of Franklin in Comtry A. When Leo came back home to visit Franklin, she happened to be there and met him briefly.
But several years had passed since.
Their first meeting had a slight unpleasantness.

Maggie turned her attention back to the people she was with, including Johnny’s business partners, and didn’t look back at Franklin and the others.
Leo alse sensed Maggie’s coldness. He glanced back at Franklin and Maggie, noting that each seemed to have their

Also pressed for time, he greeted Franklin and Julia once more before getting into his car and leaving.
Julia wasn’t surprised that Leo knew Maggie.
She only glanced at Maggie and Johnny briefly at first, without paying much attention.
After meeting Leo today, despite the initial awkwardness, she now had a good impression of him.
She said to Franklin, “Mr. Edwards really is a nice and genuine person. Being with him is quite easygoing.”
Franklin smiled and said, “Indeed.”
