Chapter 386
After walking some distance side by side from the hospital room, Maggie took the initiative to speak. “If you want to say something, you can say it now.”
Franklin turned his head to look at Maggie, “Grandma’s condition hasn’t stabilized yet. I want to postpone the divorce a few more days”
Maggie didn’t look at him but wasn’t surprised by his words. After two seconds of silence, she said, “Got it.”
“Thank you.” Just as she was about to leave, Franklin added, “Is there anything you want? To show my gratitude, I can try my best to fulfill one thing for you, or grant you one wish.”
Maggie paused briefly but didn’t turn back, replying calmly, “No need. What I want, you can’t promise.”
After saying that, worried he might think she meant she wanted him to respond to her feelings, she quickly added, “The ‘you can’t promise‘ i mentioned isn’t the meaning you’re thinking of.”
Franklin listened and chuckled, standing still while looking at her half profile two steps away, saying, “How do you know which meaning I understood?”
Maggie didn’t know which meaning he had taken her words as. Judging by histone, she only knew he wasn’t angry.
No matter how he understood it, Maggie didn’t intend to respond.
She silently turned and walked away.
Watching her back, Franklin said, “Just consider it me owing you a favor?”
Maggie didn’t stop walking. “Whatever you say.”
News of Mrs. Wilson’s awakening and the postponed divorce between Maggie and Franklin spread that same evening to the Brown and Green families.
Madam Sun said, “It’s better that Mrs. Wilson woke up than stayed in a coma. Now that she’s awake, the divorce between that girl from the Miller family and you is one step closer. No matter what, it’s a good thing.”
Sophia, Tracy, and others thought the same, but Sophia had been down and silent lately because Harry had rejected her publicly in front of Maggie She didn’t join the conversation.
Julia thought the same too.
In fact, she wanted the divorce to happen even more urgently than the Brown and Green families.
But no matter how anxious she was, faced with Franklin delaying the divorce because of Mrs. Wilson, she could only understand.
Mrs. Wilson waking up was good news from every perspective.
However, she heard Maggie would be going to Wilson Corporation the next day…
Previously, Maggie had briefly shown her abilities there and gained the favor of core research staff, including Franklin.
If Maggie showed her professional skills again at Wilson Corporation, and Franklin found out-
Thinking of this, Julia lost her appetite.
The next day, after Maggie and Madam Miller visited Mrs. Wilson at the hospital, they prepared to go to Wilson Corporation.
Franklin was also at the hospital and knew Maggie would be going there.
By the time Maggie left the hospital, it was a bit late. She didn’t need to return to Cole and could go straight from the hospital to Wilson Corporation.

Franklin also needed to return to Wilson Corporation for work.
Normally, they could have gone to Wilson Corporation together.
However, neither mentioned it, and they left the hospital one after another.
When Maggie arrived at Wilson Corporation, most of the meeting participants were already there.
After the meeting had been going on for a while, Maggie noticed Franklin had so entered the conference room sometime earlier.
She glanced at him briefly and then looked away.
Perhaps sensing her doubt, the staff member next to her whispered with a sme, “Mr. Wilson has been here for over ten minutes. He wasn’t even supposed to attend today’s meeting, but after arriving, he just kept watching you and listening to you speak.. Clearly, Mr. Wilson came just to hear your lecture.“”
Maggie was already well–known in Wilson Corporation’s tech department, and many there wanted to hear her lecture.
But not everyone could enter their meeting rooms so freely.
Maggie said nothing and continued listening as the meeting went on.
After Maggie finished a new round of presentation, Franklin had no intention to leave immediately.
At that moment, someone glanced toward the glass wall and quietly told Franklin, “Mr. Wilson, Miss Brown is here.”
Upon hearing this, Franklin withdrew his gaze from Maggie and looked toward the meeting room door–Julia was standing outside.
Others in the meeting room also noticed Julia outside.
The meeting was just reaching a break, and seeing Julia, someone whispered gossipingly, “Mr. Wilson’s girlfriend is at the company again to see him.
Maggie heard the gossip but ignored it.
Franklin saw Julia and left the meeting room, heading toward her. “Isn’t there something going on at Wilson Tech? Why suddenly come here?”
