Chapter 6
As the sounds inside grew louder and more suggestive, my body froze with anger, as if it had turned to ice.
A few minutes later, when I was sure they weren’t talking anymore, I put my phone away, which had been recording the entire conversation, and kicked the door open.
The scene inside was exactly as I had imagined: both of them were tangled together on the bed, caught up in the heat of the moment.
They screamed in shock when they saw me, and Fenny hurriedly grabbed her clothes to cover herself. Her eyes were full of tears, and there was a clear slap mark on her face as she tried to cover up the situation.
“Mrs. Spencer, it’s a misunderstanding! Mr. Spencer and I didn’t do anything! You just saw it wrong.” She sobbed. “He only found out about your secret, and he was so upset. I was just comforting him.”
“Mr. Spencer really loves you. He just needs time to forgive you.”
I made a stop gesture with my hand, cutting her off. “I’m not deaf or blind. I can clearly see
what you two were doing.”
Ponto had quickly dressed himself and stood awkwardly to the side. “Yuri, how long have you been here? You didn’t hear anything, did you?”
“Fenny Chow, you’re fired. Pack your things and leave right now. If you take even a minute longer, I’ll call the police.” I ignored Ponto and turned my attention to Fenny. Her behavior
was what I needed to focus on first.
However, Fenny didn’t immediately start packing her things. Instead, she walked behind
Ponto and said,
“Mrs. Spencer, I know I shouldn’t have said what I did, but whether I’m fired or not is not up to you. Mr. Spencer is the one paying my salary. This house is his, not yours, so you have
no right to say anything.”

Chapter 6
I had never been humiliated like this in my life.
I knew that Ponto and I were never going to have a perfect love story. But I didn’t mind that–as long as things didn’t get messy in front of me. I took a deep breath, trying to calm my anger. “Ponto Spencer, are you mute? Do you want this two–faced liar to stay, or would
you rather divorce me?”
