Chapter 5
At her shout, Thomas also turned to look at me, his eyes filled with disbelief.
Unbeknownst to him, Sophie, who had been pushed to the brink, had already scratched Thomas’s body with several red marks.
Annoyed by her, Thomas pushed her away with a force that sent the lightweight Sophie stumbling several steps back. I quickly stepped forward and caught her.
Sophie was gasping for breath, unable to control herself, while Thomas, even more unwilling to see her in this state, spoke up:
“Is this enough? How long are you going to keep making a scene?”
“Your betrayal has turned into my unreasonable fuss? Thomas, we’ve been together for so
any years, and in your eyes, I’m not even worth as much as a secretary?”
He didn’t answer, and Sophie’s anger grew. She stepped forward again, grabbed Lillian’s hair, and without hesitation, slapped her.
Lillian, clutching her red face, looked at Thomas with tearful eyes. Seeing his mistress treated this way only made Thomas angrier.
“Sophie! Don’t you even look in the mirror? Look at what kind of mess you’ve become. We’re not even married. Even if this goes to court, it’s just a dispute about feelings. Lillian is more considerate than you. Don’t you understand? I’ve already lost all feelings for you.”
As he spoke, he pulled Lillian into his arms and kept comforting her.
“Thomas, don’t go too far.”
I couldn’t bear to watch any longer and spoke up.
“I remember now. No wonder you look so familiar. You’re the one who used to follow her around in college.”
“Looks like you’re not completely dumb.”

Chapter 5
“Thomas, so you never intended to marry me, did you?”
Thomas fell silent again. After a long pause, he finally spoke
“Can you just leave me alone?”
“Since you never planned to marry me, then go die.”
With that, Sophie pulled a small knife from her pocket, which she had obviously been
iding, and aimed it straight at him. By the time I realized what was happening, she had already slipped out of my grip and was standing in front of Thomas.
I shouted anxiously, “Sophie, no!”
Lillian pushed Thomas away, and the knife slashed across her arm. Thomas, though startled, quickly reacted. He kicked Sophie in the stomach, causing her to fall to the ground in pain. Instantly, blood began to flow from between her legs.
illian, are you alright?”
“Why… why is she bleeding?”
Thomas looked down and, seeing the blood, his face went pale with shock. Sophie couldn’t stop the tears from flowing.
Lwas the first to react.
“What are you standing there for? Call 911, you idiot!”
