Chapter 6
The wedding day was fast approaching.
Patrick had ordered my wedding dress and had it delivered to the house.
There was only one in the world.
When I put it on, I could clearly see the awe on Patrick’s face.
He stared at me, as if gazing at a priceless treasure, his eyes fixed on me without blinking.
“I’ve finally married you, Linda.”
He pulled me into his arms, holding me tightly.
I immediately pushed him away.
“You can say that on the wedding day.”
He laughed like a big boy, nodding enthusiastically.
“Mm! I’ll listen to my wife!”
As he released me, I saw him expertly take out a bottle of alcohol and spray it on his hands.
Disgust was written all over his face.
He opened his mouth, and I heard him say,
“It’s disgusting, who’d want to hold her?”
I let out a bitter laugh.
An unnamed feeling settled in my heart.
So, I wasn’t wanted at all!
So, he really despised me.

Finally. We Got Lost
Chapter 6
Then why pretend to want to marry me so badly?
Patrick, I truly hate you!
That night, I saw another disturbing scene on the surveillance footage.
Snow was wearing the wedding dress I had tried on earlier in the day, standing in the living room with Patrick, who was in a suit, mimicking a wedding ceremony. They walked
around, holding hands.
Patrick’s eyes were red, “Snow, we’ve walked down the aisle, so I guess we’re married now.”
Snow couldn’t stop the tears; they flowed like rain. “Can you not marry her, Patrick?”
“Then we can be together forever.”
She looked so pitiful, her voice trembling.
“I love you. We’ve missed so many years already, I don’t want to keep missing out.”
Patrick turned his face away in pain. “Snow Chow, I love you too.”
“No one wants to marry a blind woman. Even though I don’t want to, I have no choice but
to marry her.”
They spent the whole night in the living room, acting out their drama.
I had thought I would be heartbroken, angry even, but when I saw it, I only felt a slight
bitterness, and nothing else.
I quickly saved the video.
Since marrying me was such a hardship for him, I would set them free.
In the most ruthless, decisive way.
Before I could take action, Snow came knocking on my door.
She came straight to the point, confident and composed. “Linda Smith, you must have heard of me. I’m Snow, Patrick’s first love.”

Finally, We Got Lost
Chapter 6
“Patrick and I have been together these past few days–no, not just these days. Since I came back, we’ve been together almost every day.”
“Has he ever treated you with this much passion? Patrick constantly demands from me, often until my waist aches and he won’t stop.”
She proudly pulled down her collar, revealing the numerous hickeys all over her neck.
Then she seemed to have an epiphany, “Oh, sorry, I forgot you’re blind, you can’t see.”
She shot me a mocking look, leisurely buttoning up her clothes.
I couldn’t help but laugh at her crude little stunt. So this was her way of humiliating me.
“So, what are you here for?”
Snow was a bit annoyed at my calm reaction. “So, be sensible and leave Patrick. We truly
love each other.”
“You’re just a disabled woman, using the favor of saving his life to force him into marrying
you. A coerced marriage is never sweet. If he marries you, do you know how the people in
our circle will laugh at him?”
I smiled, not as hysterical as her, but with a calm mockery. “You’re not going to Patrick, but instead, you want me to leave voluntarily.”
“Is it because you know Patrick can’t live without me?”
For morality, for the rumors, for the tiniest shred of truth, and for the sake of the
company’s interests, Patrick could never ignore those worldly pressures and break free of
- me.
Marrying a blind woman.
What a perfectly “positive” image for him.
To him, it was all gain and no loss.
Even if no one was forcing him.

He would still marry me, pushing through all opposition.
As for Snow, maybe she was truly the one in his heart.
Otherwise, he wouldn’t have risked being caught by me to secretly be with her.
Snow’s face turned red with anger. “Bullshit! Patrick is only marrying you because he feels
obligated!”
You’re just a cripple, no man could ever like you.”
I walked slowly toward her with my cane, letting out a soft chuckle. “Tell me, what do you think Patrick’s reaction would be if he found out you’ve been divorced while you were
abroad?”
Snow was stunned, stepping back in shock.
“How… how do you know?”
I didn’t answer, tapping her leg with my cane.
“You’re in my way.”
Snow, stunned, stepped aside, her face twisting as she watched me leave.
