Finally We Got Lost
Chapter 9
Chapter 9
My heart was as solid as a rock. “No.”
“Please leave right now.”
Patrick refused to give up until I said one last thing.
My expression was so indifferent that he didn’t dare to meet my eyes.
“My vision returned the day Grandpa passed away.”
In an instant, Patrick’s face turned ashen.
He had been holding onto a glimmer of hope, thinking that my eyesight had only recently
returned.
This made him feel justified in convincing himself that the wrongs he’d done with Snow hadn’t been witnessed by me.
There was still a chance to make things right.
But my eyesight had been restored far earlier than he had imagined.
That meant, in these past few days, he and Snow had shamelessly carried on their affair
right in front of me.
Now, he had the audacity to beg me to take him back.
He lowered his head, his shoulders slumping.
Tears fell in large droplets.
He knew, in that moment, that he would never have the chance to be with me again.
Just then, someone emerged from the bushes. She lunged at me and slapped me hard
across the face.
Baring her teeth, she sneered.

Chapter 9
“You shameless woman! Why can’t you just disappear?”
“Why does Patrick keep chasing after you?”
“Why did you have to ruin my happiness?”
Snow had followed him here and slapped me before I even had time to react.
This sudden change caught both of us off guard.
I stiffened, touching my heated cheek, and shot her a cold, dark look.
She had the nerve to accuse me of ruining her happiness?
I almost laughed out loud in anger.
Patrick reacted faster than I did. He grabbed Snow’s arm and threw her hard to the ground
Snow’s eyes were wide with shock. “You actually pushed me for this woman?”
“Patrick, I’ve forsaken my own morals for you. Are you going to abandon me now?”
Patrick looked at her as if she were nothing more than a repulsive, buzzing fly.
“Stay away from Linda.”
Snow, enraged by his action, jumped on Patrick and started hitting him with all her might.
“Now you care? Where were you when the child died?”
“Yes, I was the third party who ruined Linda ‘s family, but Patrick, you’re no saint either.”
“Patrick, I warn you, you will never get rid of me.”
They were screaming and tearing at each other in front of my company, but I had lost all
interest.
I turned and walked away.
I left them both to their drama.
