Love Story7–Chapter 1

The night before, after work, I went to pick up the limited edition emerald necklace I had
reserved a month in advance.
But I saw Anund standing at the counter, shouting at the staff in a huff.
what if it was reserved? I’ll pay double the original price!”
“I’m sorry, sir, but we really can’t–this necklace is already reserved for another lady who-”
Anund impatiently waved his hand and shouted again.
“I’ll pay triple! No more negotiating!”
The saleswoman, who had hesitated earlier, now froze, finally nodding with resignation.
Watching Anund proudly take the necklace in his hands, I felt a pang of sorrow.

I didn’t want to make things difficult for the saleswoman who had sold out her integrity for
money, so I left, heart heavy.
Back home, I received a message from Anund.
“Babe, I’ll be working overtime tonight. Don’t wait up for me.”
Half an hour later, Lynn Taylor posted on her social media.
“I told Anund I wanted the first limited edition emerald in the city. He snatched it from
someone else’s reservation and paid extra for it. I love it so much!”
The post included a picture of her holding hands with a man–his wedding ring clearly
visible on his finger. That ring was the one I had bought for Anund.
I scoffed, throwing my phone aside in disgust.
Anund and I met in college. He was an arts major, a delicate–looking genius who had the air
of a talented artist.

Finally, We Got Lost
Love Story7–Chapter 1
The first time I saw him, I was captivated. I immediately pursued him with passion.
But he had so many admirers that it took me four years of persistence before he finally agreed to be with me.
After graduation, we got married, and I helped him secure a position at my family’s
company.
From a penniless, unemployed artist, Anund quickly became the son–in–law of the Ni amily, eventually rising to vice president.
He was grateful for my help, saying it saved him thirty years of hard work, and showered
me with love and attention.
I thought I had found the man I could trust for the rest of my life, and we lived in harmony, blissfully in love.
We were a power couple–an intelligent woman with a handsome, talented man, and everyone admired us.
But after just three years of marriage, I didn’t expect him to start getting complacent. He was no longer content, and his behavior started to change.
Not only did he hire a secretary without telling me, but he also started lying and fooling around behind my back.
That night, I lay awake, thinking about everything, barely getting any sleep.
The next morning, when I arrived at the office, I immediately heard the noise in the air.
“Lynn Taylor! Show us that emerald necklace you’ve got. I’ve been dreaming of it, but I
can’t afford it!”
“Look at how much Anund dotes on you–paying extra just to buy it for you. I bet your relationship with him goes beyond work, huh?”
“I wonder who he stole the reservation from. Must have been a wealthy person, right?”
Lynn Taylor was surrounded by a group of women, proudly stroking the emerald necklace around her neck.

“Oh, take a good look, but don’t touch it. It’s worth over three million, you know? You’d have to pay for it if you broke it!”
Seeing Lynn Taylor flaunt the necklace with such arrogance, my anger boiled over.
Coincidentally, I had a whole collection of necklaces from the same brand in my bag–pieces I had originally planned to photograph for a jewelry feature.
I walked over, casually grabbing a handful from my bag, and said with a smile:
“It’s just some worthless junk. Take it and play with it if you want!”
