Chapter 4
That night, Anund Brown actually used the excuse that Lynn Taylor had drunk so much she caused a gastric hemorrhage and needed him to stay at the hospital with her.
The next morning, as soon as I walked into the office, I heard Anund’s furious shouts coming from the meeting room.
Shortly after, four or five employees walked out, their faces pale and full of distress, as they began packing up their things.
I walked over and grabbed an assistant from the Operations Department to ask.
“What happened?”
“Mr. Brown said that we laughed at Secretary Lynn yesterday, and that upset her so much that she drank to the point of gastric bleeding. He forced us to apologize and then fired us
all…”
My face turned cold, and I stormed over to the meeting room, slamming the door open.
Inside, I saw Lynn Taylor curled up in Anund’s arms, crying like a waterfall. As soon as they saw me, they quickly separated.
Anund, with a stern face, looked at me.
“Ms. Miller, although you’re the company’s CEO, yesterday you humiliated Lynn Taylor in front of everyone. She’s become depressed, and you should apologize to her to prevent further consequences!”
I stared at the scene in front of me, incredulous.
“Anund, am I hearing this correctly? Behind my back, you used my credit card to buy necklace worth several million for a secretary. ”
“And now, after being exposed for her actions, she can’t handle the truth and is crying?”
“What exactly do you want me to apologize for? Should I apologize for not complimenting her on the necklace or for not praising how much you love her?”

Anund was left speechless under my questioning, his face turning the color of pigs a

Lynn Taylor lowered her head and ran out of the groom Aamad quickly chased
after her.
I strode out of the meeting room and loudly addressed the few employees who had fr been fired and were packing up,
“Stop packing up! You didn’t do anything wrong. In fact, I think you were right to point our
he inappropriate relationships between certain employees and their superiors.”
“This should be commended. I’ll give each of you an extra bonus of two thousand this
month!”
“Really?! That’s amazing! Ms. Miller is truly brilliant!”
Next, I turned to look at Anund and Lynn, who were trying to leave the company. I raised
my voice.
“Anund, Lynn, what do you think you’re doing during working hours?
“If either of you steps out of the company door today, consider yourselves fired. Don’t even think about coming back!”
They both slunk back toward me, and I gave Anund a sharp glare.
“Follow me to my office. It looks like we need to settle some accounts.”
Back in my office, Anund looked at me with a cold expression.
“Do you really have to make such a scene in front of all the employees?”
“As the vice president of the company, I can’t even fire a regular employee. How is anyone going to look at me from now on?”
I sneered and took a divorce agreement from my desk drawer, placing it on the table.
“From now on? You won’t have a ‘from now on.‘ Sign it. We’re getting a divorce.”
Anund froze, staring at me in disbelief.

“W–What did you say? Divorce? Just because of today’s incident?
“It’s not just about today. Would you like me to give you more reasons?”
I took another file folder from my drawer and dumped a pile of explicit photos of us on the
table.
“Is this enough?”
und’s face drained of color, and he immediately fell to his knees with a thud!
