Chapter 6
“I didn’t! I didn’t do it! Honey, don’t believe this little b***h, she’s just making up lies and spreading filth, I’m the one telling the truth!”
“No! Ms. Miller, it was Anund who drugged me and threatened me! He’s the one who ruined my life, and now he’s trying to pin everything on me! I’ll fight him for this!”
The two of them actually started fighting right in front of me. I gave a disgusted cold shout.
“Enough! No one cares who seduced who between you two losers!”
“Anund! Sign the damn papers! Once you’re done, both of you get the hell out of here! Otherwise, I’ll call the police. Let them investigate who drugged whom!”
As I shouted, both of them instantly went quiet. Lynn gritted her teeth and looked at me.
“Ms. Miller, please don’t report this. I don’t want my family to know. I’ll pack up and leave the company right away!”
After Lynn left, Anund glared at me with hatred in his eyes, a glint of malice flashing across
his face.
“Are you really going to fire me and divorce me?!”
I didn’t reply. He walked over and signed the divorce papers.
“I’ll sign first! But I’ll prove to you during this one–month cooling–off period that I love you, and I was wronged. You’ll come back to me!”
“Get lost!”
I shot him a cold look, grabbed the signed papers, and locked them back in the drawer.
Anund shot me one last look, his eyes full of resentment, and stormed out of my office.
After the drama that morning, my mood was foul the entire day.
Finally, after a long and exhausting day, as I stepped out of the elevator, I saw a giant

heart shaped arrangement of roses spread across the floor.
Anund was holding a huge bouquet of roses and kneeling in front of the elevator doors, shouting.
“Honey, I love you! I know I was wrong! Please forgive me!”
It was rush hour, and the elevator was packed with people. Seeing this scene, I didn’t feel moved at all. I just felt embarrassed.
I pretended not to see him and quickly walked to the parking lot. Anund quickly followed
behind.
He pressed the car key first and eagerly rushed over to open the passenger door for me.
I scoffed, turned, and got into the driver’s seat. He froze, stunned. I looked at him, extending my hand.
“Mr. Anund, thanks for opening the door for me, but I won’t need you to do that anymore.
Please give me the car keys.‘

He blankly handed me the keys. I locked the car and glanced at him once more.
“Also, don’t come to the company to harass me anymore. You’re making me feel so
embarrassed.”
Just as I was about to start the car and leave, Anund suddenly stepped in front of my car.
He looked at me with pitiful eyes, tears welling up.
“Honey… We’ve been married for three years, and I’ve been with you for three years.
Even though I haven’t contributed to the company, I’ve worked hard for you. Are you really going to abandon me?”
“Who will wash your clothes and cook for you? Who will bathe and massage you? Who will satisfy you every night and make you feel like you’re on cloud nine?!”
I couldn’t believe it. This man was actually saying these words.

He kept talking about all he had done for me, but never mentioned what he had gained
from me.
“You served me for three years, and I made you the vice president of the Miller Group.”
“You had a black card to use freely, lived in a villa, drove a luxury car, and transformed from a poor country boy into a top–tier socialite. What more do you want?”
“Do you think any maid could do all these things? What maid would get such treatment? And what do you mean by satisfying me? How ridiculous!
“Do you think you’re the only man in the world? Without you, I couldn’t find another boyfriend?”
“Let me say one more thing. Is this your reason for spending my money and cheating on me right under my nose with other women?”
“Anund, you don’t love me. You just don’t want to give up on the money I have. Is that still
love?”
Anund was left speechless, and as I slammed the gas pedal, the car shot forward, leaving Anund standing there, choking on the dust.
