Chapter 247
Yorick
By the time we get back to the Academy, my brother’s warriors have arrived with my things. Cyra and I help them unpack and I thank them before they head back home. Rather than waste time unpacking, I take Cyra to her room, strip her down and remind her that she’s mine and will always be mine.
When I feel that I’ve sufficiently worn my mate out, I hop up out of bed.
“Where are you going?” she murmurs, snuggling into bed.
“Time to get some dinner. Plus, I can’t wait to see our friends. Come on, get up. You need to eat because I’m not done with you yet,” I say, watching as her eyes open and lock onto mine.
“You really are insatiable, aren’t you?” she asks.
“For you? Absolutely. It’s a Hill trait. None of the men in my family can get enough of their mates,” I grin.
She raises an eyebrow. “It looks like the females may also have a Hill trait of making their mates want them all the time as well, if Alpha Quirin is any indication. He’s very intense,” she says as she crawls out of bed. I stroke my fingers over her sensitive nipples, listening to her soft gasp as I watch them harden under my touch.
“Yeah, I’ll definitely be getting more of you later,” I murmur, before pulling her into a kiss, pushing all my love and desire for her into the kiss.
I don’t release her until she’s whimpering and clinging to me. Then, I pull back and grin down at her.
“Let’s go, Temptress,” I say, smacking her ass.
She yips and jolts, then narrows her eyes at me. “I’m the temptress? I believe you were the one kissing me,” she says.
“I’m the one who is going to be eating you later,” I growl in her ear, making her entire body tremble for me. Oh, how I’ve missed my mate.
When we’re dressed, I take her hand, and we walk to the dining hall.
As soon as we step in, our friends call out to us.
“Hey!”
“You’re back!”
“I knew they couldn’t keep a good Shakespeare down!”
I notice Katelynn is missing and I look around, surprised to see her sitting with Megan and her posse.
“What’s up with Katelynn?” I ask as we go get food.
“Hacker realized that she was sleeping with Talek and warned us about her. She got huffy and left, but now she’s not bothering to try and hide their relationship,” Cyra says.
“Why? Why was she pretending to be friends with us?” I ask.
“Intel, we think. I’m sure Megan is up to something, but we haven’t been able to figure out what it is. Of course, we had other important things going on. But just know you need to watch your back with her.”

Chapter 247
“Duly noted,” I say, piling my plate high and waiting for Cyra before joining our friends.
Zach, Chase, and Landon all get up and give me hugs with slaps on the back. Piper grins up at me. “Welcome back.”
“Thank you, it’s good to be back.”
Over dinner, Cyra and I tell them about what happened in court.
“Damn, that Tech Team is serious,” Landon says.
“Yep. They joined us for lunch,” I begin.
“Us?” Piper asks, looking at Cyra.
“Yorick’s entire family was there,” Cyra says in a way that my sisters do when there’s an unspoken conversation happening that I’m not privy
- to.
Piper’s eyebrow goes up.
“How did that go?” she asks.
“Cyra fit in perfectly,” I say, putting my arm around her and kissing the side of her head.
“They are all very nice and they’re all willing to go to war against my Alpha Christer.”
“That’s really good news,” Zach says, looking from Cyra to me.
“Yes. I mean, I told Cyra they would, but I don’t think she believed me,” I say, looking at her.
“You aren’t the Alpha of those packs, Yorick. I wasn’t sure the others would agree that my dilemma was worth fighting for. But Yorick didn’t exaggerate how wonderful his family is. They really are great,” she says, smiling up at me.
“I’m glad you think so because they’re your family now too.” I watch her blink as if she’s still becoming accustomed to that idea.
I get caught up on how everyone else has been over the week and we’re nearly done with dinner when Megan walks up with her posse in tow

“Well, well, well, if it isn’t Alpha Yorick. Funny how you come back to school at the same time Alpha Leo leaves,” she says much too loudly. The entire dining hall goes quiet.
“There’s nothing at all funny about it, Megan. Alpha Leo was taking bribes. He obviously targeted Yorick, and the Council agreed that Yorick could return to the Academy,” Cyra says, just as loudly.
“It makes me wonder, Megan, did your daddy have to bribe Alpha Leo to get you admitted to the Academy? Your abilities seem Piper says.
…
subpar,”
“You’re a bitch!” Megan growls.
“Takes one to know one,” Piper says, completely unperturbed. She takes a bite of food as if dismissing Megan, who lifts her arm to hit Piper.
I see the motion, but Cyra is closer and grabs Megan by the wrist as her arm begins to come down. I suddenly feel a very powerful Alpha aura coming off my mate.

“I’ve had about as much of you as I’m to take. First you come after my mate because you can’t find a single man on this campus sleep you. Now you’re going after my best friend when her back is turned? Are you even an Alpha? Perhaps you faked your title as well as you credentials to get yourself into this Academy,” Cyra growls, pushing Megan back, refusing to release her wrist while Megan attempts to yank out of her hands.
Chapter 247
As the others in her posse pushed forward, our group stood, creating a clear stand–off between the two groups.
“ENOUGH!” a booming, female voice says from the entrance.
I turn to see Alpha Nevaeh standing at the front of the dining hall with the other instructors.
“Actions like this will no longer be tolerated in this Academy. We got off on the wrong foot, but that changes now. Any act of aggression toward another Academy member will be treated as a violation of the Code of Conduct for the Academy. I suggest that everyone of you re read your admission information before tomorrow. I will not tolerate malicious activities in my Academy,” she says.
“Your Academy?” Katelynn asks her.
“That’s right. MY Academy. The Council has given control of the Academy to me, and I will make sure that this school runs like a well–oiled machine. Anyone who can’t abide by the rules, is out,” she says sternly.
Megan yanks her arm away from Cyra again and this time, Cyra lets her go.
Megan turns, her posse following her. Alpha Nevaeh follows their progress until they have left the dining hall before turning back to me.
“Alpha Yorick, you have some catching up to do.”
“Yes, Alpha.”
“Follow me. I have the lessons you’ve missed. I suggest that you take some time this evening to get caught up.”
“Yes, Alpha,” I say, kissing the side of Cyra’s head as I pass her.
As I walk up to her, Alpha Nevaeh looks around the dining hall. Apparently satisfied with what she sees, she nods as I approach, then turns to lead me to her office.
I follow her to a part of the Academy that I haven’t been to since my first day when I was signing in and getting my class schedule.
She doesn’t say anything until we’re in her office and the door is closed. She gestures for me to sit and instead of sitting behind her desk, she comes to sit in a chair beside me.
“First, I’d like to apologize on behalf of the Academy for the way Alpha Leo treated you. I want you to know that going forward, you will be treated fairly, just like all the other students here at the Academy.”
“Thank you, Alpha.”
“Second, I’ve asked the other instructors to collect the work that was completed in their classes over the last week. As you know, we move quickly in this Academy, so you’ve missed a lot. I’m sure you’re happy to be back among your mate and friends, but I would suggest that you spend time this evening getting caught up as much as possible. Alpha Cyra can help you with that.”
“I will do that, Alpha,” I say, rethinking the evening I had planned which included me and Cyra naked and sweaty in one of our beds.
“And finally, it appears that your family has quite the group of intelligent warriors. Are there anymore like you back home?” she asks. For a moment, I think that she’s joking, but since she doesn’t smile, I take her question seriously.
“I have two more sisters and a brother who are still too young to have considered the Academy. My youngest brother and sister are twins, just like my older brother and sister.”
She nods thoughtfully. “We’ll be keeping an eye on them. They may choose a different path, especially if your sisters are mate
Est–born
Alphas. But if not, I believe that based on your record and that of your sister Wendy, the Council would very much like to have as many Hills as possible working for them.”

“Yes, Alpha,” I say, not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. What does it mean that they’ll be keeping an eye on then time
note to ask Hacker about that.
She smiles at me. “It’s not a bad thing. But the Council likes to make sure that they acquire incredible talent before others can chatch them up. It helps to maintain
position among the packs, but it’s also good if something bad happens, something like a war breaking out that should never have been created in the first place.”
because of an alliance,
“How did you know?” I ask her.
“I’ve never known an Alpha to not mark his mate the moment he found her. When you add that his mate is also an Alpha, it makes that likelihood even lower. I may not have all the answers, but I knew enough to dig and having access to a Tech Team, even one who is under a confidentiality agreement with a student, has given me enough information to know that we may have a pending war on our hands. If you are able to gain enough trust in me and this Academy to have Alpha Cyra share the specifics of that alliance bond, we may be able to help. The Council frowns on that type of behavior, especially when it’s written without a minor’s knowledge or consent and when that person finds their fated mate and would choose to accept that person.”
“Thank you, Alpha,” I say again, not giving her any additional information. It’s not my story to share, and I’m not completely sure I trust anyone at the Academy just yet, but it’s good to know that we have even more potential allies in the battle against Alpha Arden and Alpha
Christer.
