Chapter 221
Chad and Ariel got out of the elevator when they reached the floor of their rooms.
After the two of them left, Frank, Samuel, and those who remained in the elevator exchanged a few glances with each other.
Frank remarked, “Did you guys notice how Mr. Hockney seemed to show Ms. Walker a lot of respect? Moreover, their interactions didn’t look like the kind of interactions a superior would normally have with their subordinate. Instead, Mr. Hockney seemed really proud of Ms. Waller.”
Colin Heathome, one of the engineers, responded, “I can tell that Ms. Walker really knows about the topic that she was sharing. For a moment, I was so thrown off and humbled by the depth of her knowledge..”
Frank felt even more shocked since those words came from Colin, who was one of the most experienced senior engineers working for their company.
This incident further confirmed Frank’s speculation about Baye Tech having a lot of amazing, talented employees working for them.
A reception was held on the first day of their arrival to give everyone a chance to get acquainted. Carlos would also attend the reception.
After sorting through the things in her suitcase, Ariel put on a smart yet casual coat with a fitted design around the waistline. Chad came to get her before the two of them went downstairs for the reception.

Chad and Ariel entered the hall together. He turned his gaze toward her. “My old man will be here in a bit. He’ll probably try to check the progress of your reading.”
Ariel couldn’t help feeling a bit nervous. Apart from working on Faye Tech’s projects, she had been spending her free time reading and studying.
Getting accepted as one of Carlos‘ postgraduate students was no mean feat.
Ariel could not afford to take things lightly. Even though she had previously been involved in a project for the military, Ariel still needed to invest her time and effort and try to give her best shot.
Just then, Frank and Colin from Houston Group came up to them.
Colin’s eyes lit up the instant he spotted Ariel. The man who was already in his 40s walked over to the pair and greeted Ariel. “Ms. Walker.”
After having shared and discussed some knowledge and opinions earlier, Colin was eager to ask Ariel some even more in–depth technical questions. He had a feeling that Arjel might have profound insights regarding the matter.
“Ms. Walker, do you mind if I ask you some questions regarding the technical difficulties that we’re currently facing in developing the autonomous navigation system and smart technology for drones?”
Colin had an earnest look in his eyes.
Ariel was quite surprised to see how keen he was. She nodded. “Sure, please go ahead.”
Colin asked, “There are some technical issues with the sensors‘ accuracy that we have yet to overcome at the moment. What are your thoughts on that, Ms. Walker?”

“Mr. Heathorne, Mr. Hockney probably won’t have the time to discuss the matter with you further since everyone will be trying to meet and talk to him tonight. Why don’t Introduce you to someone who has better knowledge in that regard?”
Ariel looked at Zach with a stony gaze.
Zach pointed in a certain direction. “Have you gotten acquainted with Ms. Stanton? She’s probably second to Mr. Hockney in terms of their academic qualifications in aerospace engineering. Why don’t you go and have a chat with Ms. Stanton instead?”
Ariel looked toward where Zach was pointing and spotted Nancy entering the hall with her hand placed on Jayson’s arm.
With Jayson by Nancy’s side, the top executives and engineers from different companies soon gathered around the pair. Several engineers and technicians were already engaged in a conversation with Nancy.
Nancy looked composed and elegant as she calmly shared her opinions.
Jayson stood beside her and smiled languidly, offering Nanty a chance to shine. Nancy gradually took the limelight not long after she showed up in the hall
After taking in the sight before her, Ariel headed silently to the refreshments area.
It was obvious that she and Colin would not be able to continue their conversation after the earlier interruption. Ariel decided to have some snacks first and leave the sharing and teaching to the others.
