Chapter 292
“I’m heading over to the hall now. Would you like to join m?” Perry decided to invite Ariel to come along after hesitating for a moment.
Ariel paused briefly. Since the shuttle bus that Perry arranged for had arrived, Ariel went ahead and accepted his offer.
“Sure.” She boarded the bus first.
Perry noticed that Ariel had been looking at her phone after she got on the bus.
After a moment’s consideration, he chose to sit in the row behind Ariel instead of next to her.
He knew Ariel was mindful of her personal space. Perry didn’t want to make her feel uncomfortable in any way.
Ariel knew it would take several minutes for them to reach the place where the hall was.
She glanced over her shoulder at Perry and asked, “Do you mind me asking if Mr. Spencer has already started working at the hospital?”
Perry hadn’t expected Ariel to initiate the conversation first
He paused for a few seconds. Then, Perry gave a slight cough and nodded. “He’s probably already started working there. You should be able to meet him there the next time you visit Mr. Walker.”
Ariel nodded pensively.
She planned on dropping by the hospital either tomorrow of the day after. If she could find Liam, Ariel might ask him if he would be willing to help Isaac with Leonard’s treatment.
They lapsed into silence once more until they reached their destination.
Ariel got out of the bus and was about to head into the building when Perry called out after her. “Ms. Walker, hold on for a second!”
Ariel turned around.
A staff member came over with a bouquet of flowers in their hands.
Perry took the bouquet from that person and walked toward Ariel. He had a sincere look on his handsome face.
“Congratulations on the success of Faye Tech’s latest product launch. This is my… the flowers prepared by the resort villa’s management team. We hope Faye Tech’s business will continue to prosper.”
Ariel looked at the bouquet Perry had just handed her.
It was a bouquet of blue tulips. The bouquet was pretty and eye–catching with its detailed and intricate arrangement.
Ariel was a bit puzzled. “Does your team give these flowers to all the resort villa’s guests?”
The Nexura Solutions team had reserved the entire resort villa. The resort villa’s management team had also been instructed to set up and decorate the venue for the party. Ariel wondered if giving flowers to the guests was also part of the plan.
Perry sensed a fluttering feeling in his chest as he looked at Ariel’s beautiful face.
He said slowly, “Uh–huh. We hope you like them.”

There was a special occasion that day, so it didn’t seem strange that flowers were given out to the guests. Ariel accepted the bouquet and replied monotonously, “Thank you.”
After saying that, Ariel took the flowers and headed toward the building.
Perry stood in the same spot and watched her receding figure. A while later, his lips turned up in a smile.
Somewhere not too far away, Nancy got out of the car and witnessed this moment. It seemed like Perry was staring at Ariel intently from behind.
She went up to him and patted his shoulder. “What are you thinking so deeply about?”
Perry snapped out of his reverie. He lowered his head and realized it was Nancy. Then, he averted his gaze. “It was nothing. Are Jayson and the others here already?“.
Nancy nodded. “They’re already waiting inside.”
There was a pensive look on her face as she asked next, “Did you come here with Ariel just now?”
Perry’s expression remained pretty much the same. “I happened to run into her earlier.”
Nancy paused for a split second. She had a dubious look in her eyes. “What about the bouquet that she was holding just now?”
Nancy was curious to find out who had given Ariel a bouquet out of the blue. Moreover, she was with Perry until just a while ago.
This time, Perry directed his gaze to Nancy. His tone was calm and steady. “That’s something only Ariel knows, isn’t it?”
Then, he strode toward the building as well.
Nancy remained in the same spot and watched as Perry walked away.
For some reason, she felt that Perry was acting a bit strange. However, she couldn’t pinpoint exactly what the issue was.
Lately, Perry hadn’t been keeping in touch with her as often. It almost felt like he was avoiding her.
Nancy wondered if it was because of her relationship with Jayson.
