Chad had made time to come here with Ariel today. After they got out of the car, he patted Ariel’s shoulder.” You’re the Ariel Walker that all the lecturers were dying to have as their student back then. So, don’t get too nervous.”
Chad even offered to drive Ariel there today.

Today marked a new turning point in Ariel’s life. She had given up on her dreams and aspirations a few years back. Now, Ariel had finally returned to the place where she belonged. Chad hoped that she would go on to achieve greater things from now on.
On the other hand, Ariel was not feeling nervous. Instead, she was experiencing a mix of emotions.
“Do you want me to go in with you?” Chad asked in an unusually gentle voice.
He had graduated from Ashford University. Chad had already applied for permission to enter the school compound in advance. He would go in with Ariel to keep her company if she was feeling nervous.
Ariel shook her head and chuckled. “I’m not a kid anymore.
“She’s really here?”
Suddenly, Matt’s voice could be heard coming from a certain direction. Ariel and Chad looked in the direction of the voice.
Two cars were parked there.
Nancy got out of Jayson’s car. Her expression remained unchanged when she spotted Ariel. However, there was a flash of scorn in her eyes.
Perry was there too.
His gaze fell on Ariel. He stared at her face for some time.
Perry knew Ariel would be taking the exam as well. He was hoping to drop by and see if they would run into her. Perry also hoped that Ariel would eventually succeed in achieving her goals.
Ariel noticed Perry was looking at her. He had a gentle, relaxed expression on his face as he nodded at her.
Ariel responded politely with a nod as well.
Jayson was taking an important call with his face turned slightly away. When Ariel’s gaze drifted toward him, Jayson happened to look up and meet her eyes.
Ariel was aware of how popular Nancy was among Jayson’s group of friends. They had all shown up here to support and cheer Nancy on on this important day. She was being cherished and doted on like a real princess.
The corners of Perry’s mouth lifted when he saw Ariel’s response. Then, he greeted Chad. “Mr. Hockney.”
Matt felt rather bewildered. “Mr. Hockney, shouldn’t you try to stop Ariel?”
From his perspective, Ariel was just doing this out of stubbornness. It would be quite embarrassing for the Faye Technologies team if she were to perform poorly during the exams.
Chad smiled dryly. “Ari is really good at her studies. Who knows, she might surprise everyone with her results this time?”
Matt had a conflicted look on his face. Eventually, he smiled. “Mr. Hockney, you must indulge Ariel’s whims quite

a lot.”
Nancy couldn’t be bothered to pay Ariel any attention. She noticed Jayson had finished talking on the phone. Nancy beamed.
“Don’t you need to leave for an urgent business trip today? Yet, you made time to come here with me. Wouldn’t it affect your work over there?”
Initially, Jayson was to take a flight to Halread at 6:00 am day. However, he decided to book a later flight and come here with Nancy since she was taking the exam today
“It’s alright.” Jayson put his phone away.
After gazing at his handsome features for a while, Nancy lowered her head and chuckled softly.
It was almost time.
Nancy turned around and headed toward where the security checkpoint was. When she passed by Ariel, Nancy gave her a sidelong glance. Then, she walked straight ahead silently.
Nancy figured someone like Ariel would only have a better grasp of reality after having failed miserably.
Ariel also needed to realize the difference between things that were achievable and things that were simply unattainable, be it the opportunity to become Carlos‘ postgraduate student or her wish to have Jayson.
Ariel couldn’t care less about what Nancy was thinking. She waved at Chad and headed toward the entrance with her ID card and exam slip.
Jayson had probably moved closer toward the entrance to see Nancy off. Ariel would pass by him since she was going in that direction.
She did not slow down or stop.
With one hand in his pocket, Jayson seemed relaxed as he lowered his gaze and looked at Ariel.
She heard his voice the next instant. “Good luck, Ariel.”
