While waiting for the exam results to be announced, Ariel made sure to stay productive.
Ever since they found out that Veyo Solutions would also be working on a project involving renewable energy, Ariel knew that they would inevitably compete with the Vey Solutions team for certain resources.
Naturally, they needed to try to gain the upper hand by seizing as many opportunities as they could.
Ariel needed to research and learn about various enhanced materials. She also met and spoke with representatives from various companies.
She had visited almost all the companies that could be suitable partners for them near the World Trade Center.
It was some time past 9:00 am when Ariel left their office and headed for a company located near Yeager Group’s building.
It was her first time in that area. As she stood outside Yeager Group’s building, Ariel raised her head and looked at the structure.
They had assessed the situation and taken everything into consideration after Samson paid a visit to Faye Technologies‘ office the other day.
They concluded that they would likely achieve the best results by collaborating with Yeager Group and assigning their top personnel to work on the renewable energy project.
During that brief moment she was standing there, Ariel saw a car stopping nearby.
As soon as Nancy got out of the car, she met Ariel’s gaze.
She had a stony look in her eyes. There was barely veiled contempt and arrogance in those orbs as she gazed at Ariel.
Yet, Ariel remained unruffled. It was because she knew that Nancy and Sarah must find it humiliating that Sarah had to transfer to another hospital. Naturally, they would feel displeased.
For someone who had a strong sense of pride like Nancy, she probably could not stand suffering such humiliation
even more.
Despite Jayson’s decision to move Sarah to another hospital for their mutual well–being, the emotional aftermath remained. Ariel’s actions during the incident had left the mother and daughter feeling humiliated, and their lingering bitterness was unmistakable.
“Call Mr. Pryce’s secretary and tell them we’re here.” With a haughty look on her face, Nancy averted her gaze and instructed her secretary. She treated Ariel as if the latter weren’t there.
Her heels clacked on the floor as Nancy headed into the Yeager Group’s building.
Ariel was not surprised. It was only natural that Veyo Solutions would try to approach and seek the opportunity to work with a large enterprise like Yeager Group.
That was why Nancy had come to meet Samson.
Ariel didn’t dwell on the matter for too long. She decided to settle some urgent matters at hand first. Ariel needed to speak to a senior executive about the carbon fiber composite material used in making a drone’s exterior.
Fortunately, the senior executive was an easy–going, decisive person. They managed to finish their discussion within half an hour.

After leaving the place, Ariel passed by Yeager Group’s building again. She directed her gaze to the lounge area in the lobby. Ariel happened to witness an interesting moment
Samson entered the lobby from a side entrance located not too far away. After someone beside him said something to him, Samson turned his gaze toward the lounge area.
Nancy was sitting and waiting in the lounge.
After hearing his secretary’s explanation, Samson began moving toward the lounge.
While he was doing that, Samson spotted Ariel, who was waiting for her cab outside. Without the slightest hint of hesitation, Samson curled his lips and greeted Ariel with a smile.
Ariel paused for a moment. She hadn’t expected Samson to notice her, let alone greet her, when she wasn’t even inside the building.
Samson had left her with a pretty good impression. He was a rare genius. Moreover, he had expressed his keen interest in collaborating with Faye Technologies.
Ariel worked in the PR department for several years. She knew what she should do to maintain good relations.
Ariel smiled slightly and nodded in response.
Nancy noticed Samson’s unusual movements and looked out of the window as well. She furrowed her brows the instant she saw the warm, friendly look Ariel had on her face when the latter was looking at Samson.
“Do you know her personally, Mr. Pryce?” Nancy asked while trying to sound natural.
Samson finally looked away after watching Ariel get into the cab. He gestured for Nancy to take a seat. “Please, have a seat. Have you been waiting for a long time?”
Samson did not offer any explanation. He tactfully changed the topic.
As she sat down, Nancy could see Ariel’s cab driving away.
She found Ariel’s earlier smile rather amusing. There was something about it that felt just a bit too eager, as if she were trying hard to win Samson’s approval.
Perhaps Ariel had misunderstood something after the time Samson had invited her for a dance during Lucas‘ engagement party.
A mocking smile played across Nancy’s lips as she retrieved a document from her secretary. She found Ariel’s attempts to win Samson over utterly over–the–top–nothing more than a string of petty tricks.
